He was. He is also an excellent player who would fit perfectly into our team to replace Taylor. I was very impressed with him at Exeter away (he took the ball out of defence very well) and again yesterday. Big threat from set pieces too, as we saw
Of course not, big lumping centre half's don't need to kick strikers or handball it, there's skill and luck in there too. But there is more opportunity, and teams who are attacking more tend to get their reward over a season.
Whisper it quietly but that unpredictability is what still makes the game watchable.
Oh I completely agree - it's got to be the most unpredictable team sport too, and I love that right down to the fact that you don't even know if you'll get any scoring.
This season in L1: most touches in opposition box - 1. Wycombe Wanderers (571), 2. Birmingham City (565), 3. Stockport County (551). Most pens: =1 Wycombe Wanderers (6), =1 Birmingham City (6), =3 Stockport County (4).
Least touches: 24. Burton Albion (306), 18. Wigan Athletic (413), =16 Exeter City (448). Least pens: Burton, Wigan, Exeter all with 0.
So no, it doesn't work exactly right, the broader picture is indeed more touches = more pens. Unless half a season is too small a sample size?
It’s pretty creative to be fair. They’re not going to stick the landing with all of the videos they’ll put out but at least they’re not copy’s/rip offs from other clubs.
Agree about Crama. Seriously good in both matches for Exeter against us this season and for Bristol Rovers at Adams Park last New Year’s Day.
He gave Kone a tough time and showed he’s a threat from set pieces too with his goal.
He’s French and on-loan from Brentford (as he was at Rovers). At 23 you’d have to think his chances of ever getting into the Brentford team are narrowing.
Yeah Crama looks a very good player. I wonder if the data and the eye test align on him. If they do I’m sure we have him on our radar, and as a free transfer, I bet we’d be an attractive option - if only for the geographical advantage we have if he’s at Brentford now!
Crama signed a 3 year contract with an option for a further year at the start of the 2023/4 season. Still 18 months on his deal assuming the option isn’t taken up.

That's rubbish and classless from the official account. I thought we'd be above that but there you go.

He'll do.
Did we establish if this is actually the proper club guys doing this, or just some work experience / junior?

That's interesting - I know we had the most penalties in the whole 92 in 2024 (not sure about touches in box). It's probably a combination of things.
I think that's funny
Evidently we have 275,000 TikTok followers, so plenty of others must feel the same way. I doubt anyone is getting fired any time soon!
Having said that, it is possible to "purchase" followers on these channels, so you never really know what the true number is.
Probably about as legit as us claiming to have 1,000s of foreign based "World wide Wycombe Phenomenon" fans or whatever they called it.
When it's really about 2 in the USA from the gasroom, that Club Manga gang and a tiny handful of others.
The rest are just VPN logins.

Quality over quantity.

One to keep an eye on.

Yes but if we actually want him, and Brentford don't anymore they are likely to be more interested in sell on clauses than a big fee.
