Re: Caleb Taylor returns until end of season..... Discuss
I wonder if this is a loan but with a commitment to make into a permanent move? I like Caleb and great to have him back.

Fantastic signing, that's three absolute top-notch centre backs we have (J-Low, Taylor & Bradley)
If Anders is not yet ready it makes perfect sense, as would sending Skura out for some regular game time.
Hartridge I see as a decent backup left back but shouldn't really be considered as a centre back.

If we keep hold of Low, it means that we finish January stronger than we started in terms of defenders. Bradley is fast becoming one of the first names on the team sheet but we don’t have a great deal of resilience in terms of injury cover. Dec is brilliant but also still raw, Hartridge is probably a better LB cover than he is CB and naturally we no longer have Taf.
Edit because I completely forgot about Anders!
Re: Random sightings of our players outside of football
I bumped into Matty Ingram in one of the coffee shops in Eden. He was playing for QPR at the time. Nice bloke.
Re: Rumour Mill
Brilliant news! Taylor brings the ball out from the back better than any other CB that’s played this season.
Low may be out for longer or we’re making sure we’ve got cover.
I feel like Taylor could also do a job across all the back four, particularly if Harvie is out for a period.
Final thought, would we move to a back three if Grimmer is struggling still and Harvie out for awhile.
Team Photos on the Chairboys Archive Site
You can now see a captioned team photo for every season going back to 1969-70 on http://thechairboys.wixsite.com/wwfcarchive, by clicking on the season on the left hand menu.
This is a remarkable piece of detective work in tracking down many missing seasons. A lot of match photos have been added recently, this site is a really valuable archive.
Re: Rumour Mill
Sadly, this old camel’s back is ready to break but but I’m clutching desperately for straws, hoping my optimism about the rest of the season doesn’t totally desert me and that I don’t well and truly get the hump.
Re: Rumour Mill
It’s like that time you were 18 with your first credit card buying ALL of the things and then Wondering why you had no more disposable cash 6 months later.
Oh, but how good you felt in your new threads in Eden.
Re: Required points for promotion.
As we all know with football, there will be twists and turns that will happen over this season. I see there being 3 major incidents that will make or break the season.
1) What happens between now and the end of the transfer window. All 3 teams (Birmingham, us & Wrexham) might be wanting to strengthen / have better depth in their squads ready for the next push & also how long our manager search will go on for.
2) How quickly those squads settle and "bed in". We could buy amazing players but if it takes a while for them to work together, results are going to struggle. Also how much of a distraction is the FA Cup for us and Birmingham?
3) The last 5 games. I think it's clear that the top 3 (potentially the top 5) might start pulling away and it's how the last few games go. Will teams be trying to manage their workload for the playoffs & extra fixtures
I think everyone will drop points or have a "wobble", the thing that will define a season is how long that period goes on for. It's exciting & nervous at the same time but that's what we live for...... right??

One of our supporters bumped into Aaron Pierre’s fist down the ketchup aisle of Tesco Express once too.
