Re: Match Day Thread: Bristol Rovers
With no factual evidence to support, I'll surmise that Sky+ and streaming has had an effect on crowds. Maybe only in the hundreds but significant nonetheless. Without those vehicles you'd think Tuesday's crowd might've been closer to 5k??? Fully understand why people would stay at home btw and that's been done to death already.
It's boom time for crowds throughout the pyramid. Sadly we haven't capitalised/we've regressed. Perhaps worth noting that it's the same stadium and location that regularly drew 5k+ in the 90s and even an average of 6.5k in the early 00s...yes, I know, lots of factors...I'm tapping out.
Re: Carpooling
Ok, I'm thinking I'll probably pass on this occasion, but I'll let you know if that changes. Moreover, I'd be very interested in a similar arrangement for future away games, and I hugely appreciate you reaching out to me :)
Re: Match Day Thread: Bristol Rovers
I've always thought Cambridge is one of the easiest. Never worried about driving to any London Ground, access by train, bus and tube is so easy
Re: Match Day Thread: Bristol Rovers
We don't need a new ground do we?
We certainly don't need a bigger one. I can't imagine how bad an out of town 20,000 stadium we can't even half fill would be. It would kill the club
Make Adams Park as good as it can be, would be my ideal. Yeah, put on some more buses and negotiate with all of the local businesses to open up their site for parking.
But just ask yourself, in 35 years at Adams Park, how many times have we ever sold out?..... 3?....4?
Celebrate what we are, don't moan about what we're not
Re: Match Day Thread: Bristol Rovers
But apart from the brilliant cardio ward, superb nurses, excellent doctors, superb stroke ward and life saving staff....
...what has Wycombe hospital ever done for us?
Re: Match Day Thread: Bristol Rovers
When a student in Manchester
The North, where public transport is an acceptable way of travelling.
Down in the South the car is king and the maximum number of people that can be in a car at the same time is 2.
Yet another reason AP is a difficult ground to access.
Re: Match Day Thread: Bristol Rovers
Glad to hear it still serves some purpose, though it really is a disgrace that a town the size of Wycombe has no A&E.
Re: Match Day Thread: Bristol Rovers
I'd go Kassam's stadium too if you were travelling by train, it's a 4.2 mile walk from Oxford train station to the ground, only 2.5 miles from Adams Park to High Wycombe train station.
Add in they have no away end and your stuck in a corner I would put the Kassam as the worst. Slightly easier by car but with attendances of 11-11500 now every game I have heard it's horrendous trying to find any parking within 1.5 miles after 1.30pm.

Re: Birmingham and Burton KO moved
I’ve just booked a space in the Morrisons car park next to St Andrews for £3 for next Saturday through Just Park if any of you plan on driving up.
