Re: Sonny Bradley signs
That’s fine if it’s what you’ve signed up for. Matt Bloomfield’s job title still says manager but it’s clear he’s not bringing these players in. I don’t think it’ll absolve him of blame when results and performances tail off.
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
A very good signing in my opinion. Yes a stop gap signing but that's exactly what we need right now.
I'm kind of happy the blokes experienced and has been promoted from league 1 a couple of times. He's 33 not 43 like some are acting like.
At least we know what we are getting. Better than a young kid that may or may not be up to the job ie Breckin
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
I am bemused by all the negativity
- We have signed an experienced CB on loan to fill the gap left by Taylor being recalled, meaning we are not lumbered with an expensive asset if we do not get promoted & equally we are freed up a slot for an even better player if we get promoted - win/win
- Presumably, this is the result of Rice's recruitment data team - if so it seems a decent start in addition to the youngsters announced in the last few days
- Blooms is still the manager, as he manages the team including picking the side, the tactical set up, training etc.
- The majority of clubs in the 92 now seem to work with a DF who to a greater or lesser extent is responsible for recruitment
We should give it a chance to see what the outcomes are both with Bradley & the rest of the window before we rush to judgement on the changes.
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
Great move in my opinion. I would not be surprised if we get one or two more CBs in with or without Low going, but getting massive (left-footed) experience and physicality in immediately is fantastic.
I can live with Low, Bradley, Skura & Hartridge, but I don't think we're done. Low might leave, but in the meantime we have a very respectable CB pairing, and time to solve for him going if he does.
Looking forward to seeing what we do in midfield!
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
Opinion about Breckin was fairly mild after his first non entity game wasn't it?
And I don't think anyone expected much more than occasional squaddie from Keogh did they?
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
Oh why did you have to mention Duberry after I'd finally managed to expunge that name from my memory.......
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
But premature on Hartridge I’d have thought. But Taffs days must be numbered regardless of what happens with Joe Low.
Re: Rumour Mill
There's got to be some more decent young talent in the Premier League that clubs are willing to let go to a promotion chasing league 1 side??
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
They would have suited Derby better ‘Before it's earned, our money's all been spent’
