Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Thank goodness someone can put things into perspective. After reading some of the depressing comments on this thread I had to check the league table and yes, we are still in second place.
Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Your view of the subject makes no sense whatsoever. You claim that Blooms was abused and forced out of the club and have evidence to support that claim. Dan Rice is the only person with authority to do that, as I can't imagine Mikhail is personally involved in the internal running of things. That being the case how can you have NO feeling either way on Dan Rice?
Re: New signings - what is their fitness like?
Ok I accept that. But when we signed these guys we were told they were integrating into the squad and therefore needed time to be Wycomised if you will. Anders signed on the 9th of January, Westergaard one week later. One month is almost a pre-season in England. And we are yet to see more than a handful of minutes from our record signings. My concern was not so much about the future, having a couple of players ready for next season is amazing but these aren't kids. None of our 12 (TWELVE) signings in January (for over 2 MILLION) have made a significant contribution to the team with the exception of Bradley. We are 2nd in the league and we needed enforcements to consolidate that position not our campaign next season. The weaknesses we had 2nd of January are the weaknesses we have now.
If we were only looking at these signings for the future and not for the immediate why not sign them and leave them with their parent clubs?
Re: New signings - what is their fitness like?
In which case we're screwed on the Morley replacement as even if Simons is the answer, he's only here on loan till the end of the season.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
You clearly aren't giving facts. So it's either views or opinions.
And everyone has those.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
You have written off a new coach after two game against a Championship club who only beat us on penalties and a team battling for survival where I remind you we didn’t actually lose. Incredible.
Re: New signings - what is their fitness like?
I think it’s quite obvious that the upcoming change in financial controls meant that the club were forced to spend in January.
Otherwise should we not go up, our billionaire owner would count for nothing as we wouldn’t be able to spend. It could then take us years to put a squad together that’s able to challenge at the top of the table.
If we don’t go up this season, at least we now have several million pounds worth of talent to utilise in the next campaign.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
I think ‘if’ is fair. No wins from Northampton, Cambridge and Crawley and far harder games on the horizon 80 points might not be enough for play offs
