I hate when Scowen pushes high as an attacking midfielder, love the guy but he just isn’t up to it in terms of pace or shooting, surely the other central midfielders should be going higher.

Definitely something that’s been noticeable in games we’ve struggled. Ball worked around reasonably well, reaches Grimmer who misplaces a 10 yard pass to disrupt any momentum. (Or shoots from 45 yards today apparently…)

You don’t need to worry any longer.
Nothing controlled about this game. Scrappy bits of play, nervy, heavy touches, slashed shots, anything could decide it. Lovely to be in this position though, rather than a dead rubber or relegation scrap.

Getting into it a bit now. Looking more dangerous.
I love the guy, great servant of the club but he just doesn’t suit the system. We’ve evolved above players of his style which feels incredibly harsh to say to our captain.

If our centre halves play as they should it’s something I’m comfortable with.
They shouldn’t be winning much against Bradley and Taylor.
I know it should go without saying but if we get a single clear chance at goal we absolutely have to take it. Feels like a certain 1-0 game.

Blood and thunder stuff. Ref has let a couple go, hasn’t he? We’re putting a shift in, need something to fall for us or show more quality on the ball.
