Just finished breakfast so now I have to make the final call to drive or train. Given that it’s FA Cup semi Palace v Villa at Wembley, I think I’ll drive.
This is a fairly ‘local’ game for me to get to, so regardless of 1230 kick off, thought I could have a decent lie in. Wrong. Been wide awake since 0545. Got vibes from the dog to calm the **** down and go back to sleep.

What a huge game today is …we have sold out the away end…1st time visiting Brisbane Toad , atmosphere will be electric , come on Dodds and team, lets put on a show amd get those 3 poitns !!

I remember travelling down from uni in North Wales to Brisbane Road for a crunch game in 2006, writing an essay on the train. Albeit slightly earlier in the season and instead of the rarefied heights we’re now competing at, it was a L2 clash. We lost 1-0 and I think it effectively ended our automatic promotion hopes following a second half of the season slump…anyway, our fans were magnificent that day and stuck with the team before, during and after. And fingers crossed we’ll be on the right side of the result this time! Come on!!!

Good lineup. Same team as Bolton away.
Looks like we’re not going for the defensive setup and a 1-0 win.
We have to play high up the pitch, and bang in the goals when the chances come.

Depending on where Grimmer and Fred play it’s either 433 or 352. Hopefully we’ll switch between the two. Either way it’s the most positive line up I’ve seen for a while.
