Do you recall the Low interview, when he declared that the defenders were disappointed with the number of goals they were conceding. Think the keeper was seen as a weak link.
We still have the worse goals against in the top 5 teams. Was top 6 prior to today. And that's with the tightening up defensively.
It depends on how it's played. As has been said, they've had 10 days to work on it. Dodds is said to be a training ground coach, so let's hope he's told the players it needs to be slow and considered. We need to give people time to get forward
I wonder if the defenders are enamoured by Norris’ soft passes out to them, his long lumps out of play for throw ins and the fact he’s also lobbed it in his own net twice.
And once again I’ll put it on record that his right foot is absolutely pathetic for a modern day goalkeeper.
It is IMPerative that we don't IMPlode today. We need to IMPose ouselves on the IMPs from minute 1 to minute 90, and produce an IMPressive performance in an IMPortant must-win game. Rinse and repeat for the next 8 games after this, and we can make it IMPossible for Wrexham to finish ahead of us.
I was playing to the crowd for likes. This first half has so far - and will continue to be - turgid. 7 men behind the ball at all times at home to a mid table side with nothing to play for. #Control

Bafflingly it looks quieter than normal
Not happy with line up, Kone will be isolated on his own up front, could be a long afternoon.
Where’s the swashbuckling attacking team of the first half of the season?
All far too cautious.
Rav isn't coming back in.

I still think wingbacks is the best system with. Would like Humphreys as more of a 10 though.
Maybe we've spent 10 days mastering the 5-3-1-1 formation.
We'll soon find out.

That is an (un)believably depressing lineup. Really struggling to see how Dodds thinks that will work.
On the plus side at least we have a bench full of attacking options… (not that will help).

I love the bonkers overly attacking bench.
I don’t like how Dodds didn’t learn his lesson from the last game.
Doddsy has had 11 days on the grass working with the group to get them to get the winning moments right.
Unwrap the gum...this is our first cup final of the run-in.
Let’s hope that with the extra time spent on the training pitch, that whatever Dodds has in mind is implemented a lot better than last time.
I am a little worried Dodds HAS been on the grass.
3-0 breezy win incoming of course.

(That's enough imps - Ed.)
I've just seen a kid in full Al-Nassr kit with Ronaldo on the back. 🤢
Random but does anyone remember an incredibly irritating Lincoln striker from the mid 00s? Name mightve been Mark something.
Striker, perhaps a journeyman. Slicked back black longish hair
Forget it - it's ex Wanderer Mark Stallard. Ex everywhere it seems
Love the sash!
It just feels we’re set up wrong.
Whenever we cross the halfway line players are isolated.
Have I missed anything?
I don’t love that our £500k+ centre half can’t even make the bench despite us playing three at the back.
I'd say defensive subs are pretty pointless. You can switch systems or switch Grimmer to centre back if a defender gets injured.

I am genuinely baffled that Dodds watched last week pre-subs and thought: "That worked."
Traditionally the defenders have been the least technically able of players. It is wild were set up to play just knocking it about between them
”That 9-0-1 formation we played last time was perfect”
Wrexham leading 1-0
Let's face it, even if we somehow fluke our way to the playoff final, Dodds will bring two extra defenders on at 0-1 to keep the score down.
There's a Dane reading this in real hope.
Just got to win this match, no matter how shit we are.
We seem to be in command and shit at the same time.
Or is it just me?
