Ipswich were a newly promoted Championship side when they signed him. They didn’t expect promotion. AAH2.0 scored his goals in L2. Kone has a way better goals per minute in L1. They’re incomparable in my opinion. Kone is levels above. And younger.
I think Kone probably does need that season in the Champo. The best comp I could find was Ivan Toney, who took to the Champo exceptionally for one season and did well in the PL after the promotion. Ollie Watkins also made the two-step jump, though with more Champo time.
However, I don't get why PL clubs don't snap up Kone-type talents from L1 more often and then loan them to the Champo for a season if needed. They lose a lot of money by having to buy them off a Champo club later for a markup anyway!
That's an inverted winger, or inverted wide forward, both of which I'm fine with - we've seen Fred and GMac do exactly that this season. I couldn't work out what Reach was supposed to be doing last night though, and neither could he. There was a pass in the first half to Reach in acres of space on the right wing, and he's so one footed he turned around and gave it back.
Reach and Humphrey’s were playing as 2x number 10s behind Kone to begin with. Then later on Grimmer became the 3rd Cb when Low came off and Reach went right wing back. At the same time Humphrey’s dropped back in with Simons where Scowen had been playing and McCleary and Kodua came on as the 2x number 10s

I understand that, and it's a very good point. Perhaps I didn't read the into the context before making my comment.
However, at this stage of the season it's about winning games and finding a way to win - however messy or scrappy it is.

Have you seen the Adam Reach showreel @drcongo ? He has scored worldies with his right foot.

…possibly
…. I think
So, rarely.
I think from the clips, Reach can play anywhere along the front. Wingback probably not his best position.
I think wingbacks is probably the way to go though.
Great summary
