No change at all in the order of the Leaderboard after the Barnsley game for which most of us indulged in some serious overestimated of the crowd - probably for very good reasons so -
Many congratulations to @wwfcblue for holding onto top spot. Many congratulations jointly to @perfidious_albion and @thecatwwfc who jointly hold the record for the closest prediction of the Season so far with their predictions for the Northampton home game.
Congratulations are due to @DevC who is Forecaster of the Week on here and recorded a new 10th best prediction which was good enough to both gain @DevC a place in the Sub 100 Club and cut in half the lead that @wwfcblue has at the top. That lead is now the equivalent of about a point rather than two.
There are a couple of other alterations I have spotted too - there may be others. @bookertease has a new 8th best prediction [201 score] and @our_frank has a new 9th best score [341] so they both have new 10th best scores too and have inched that bit closer to the person above them in the table.
There are congratulations for @tewkesburychairboy who with a second prediction of the season so far, came 9th on the Barnsley home game Top Twenty and knocked his first prediction into a cocked hat.
I just did some meticulous record checking and proved my memory is not perfect. Here is a screenshot of the top ten out of my final post of the 18 /19 season, the first year we had an attendance 'Tour de Season'
I should do an "All Time Greats" table sometime - I know the scores won't be absolutely comparable because I have included some cup games on occasions, but I think it would be fun.
The top four remain unchanged - on this occasion none of them were close enough to register a scoring score. Many congratulations to @wwfcblue who stays top of the Leaderboard.
Congratulations to @PJS, who was Forecaster of the Week with a match score of 45, that knocked just over 12 off the Leaderboard score and takes up to 5th place, the highest placing of their season so far.
Lots of people improved their score without moving up the Leaderboard - a notable example is @perfidious_albion whose match was 122, a new 7th best of the season personally, it knocked 6.9 off his Leaderboard score which took that to a tenth of a point - a single person behind @micra who just holds onto to 7th place on the Leaderboard.
The other really close spot is between 29th and 30th where @thecatwwfc leads @Twizz by a score of 0.1 (a single predicted person).
Just above that part of the table - indeed 19th to 29th - there was a great shuffling of places - with for example @Manboobs and @Mandown just holding onto places, despite recording scores within their previous best ten.
Congratulations are due to @thecatwwfc and to @perfidious_albion - they jointly still jointly hold the record for the closest prediction of the season so far - both missed by just two for the Northampton home game.
Nobody recorded a move of five or more places up the table, although several came close to that. @PJS was the only person to reach a highpoint on the Leaderboard so far
@tewkesburychairboy did gain the closest of his three predictions so far, but nobody else improved their personal best.
Many congratulations to @wwfcblue for holding onto top spot.
Congratulations to the entire top ten for retaining their places. @mooneyman@NewburyWanderer recorded the best score - [114] - of those in the top ten, a new 6th personal best and with it replacing a previous 10th best score of 200, the difference of 86 in those two numbers produces an improvement of 8.6 in this table, enough to take @mooneyman to the fringe of the sub 100 boundary and considerably closer to @ryan_w_kirkby2 in 9th position, but not quite enough to move positions. No one else in the top ten improved on their existing 10th best score.
@Glenactico's match score of 130 was a new personal 4th best and enough to climb to 14th place on this Leaderboard.
The closest match predictions this week came from those placed around the middle of the Leaderboard.
@BSE match score of 43 was the 2nd best prediction of the day and also a new 2nd best personal prediction of the season for @BSE, good enough to move from the other half of the Leaderboard into the top half.
Congratulations to Forecaster of the Week - @williwycombe - for a new personal best score of the season and congratulations to @our_frank, who was close in all of this match weeks tables and also recorded a new personal best for the season and the largest leap up the Leaderboard this week, and to a new personal highspot in the table too.
@Alexo recorded a 3rd best personal match day score and in consequence also moved up the Leaderboard.
Chat gpt made its 5th closest prediction so far but did not move on the Leaderboard.
Outside the Leaderboard there are congratulations for @tewkesburychairboy -just four predictions so far - so no position on the Leaderboard - but so far each prediction has been closer than the previous one, so a new personal best on ever occasion so far.
I hope to complete the Bristol Rovers game updates tomorrow.
Good luck to all with predicting the numbers coming to the Wigan game - that thread should be up very shortly. @railwaybeth and I are both coming so we will be in Block R rather than just me on the terrace.
Many congratulations to @wwfcblue who maintains a small lead at the top of the table.
The top six all keep their positions, although @Commoner in 3rd, @PJS in 5th and @NewburyWanderer in 6th all made scoring predictions. Congratulations to @NewburyWanderer who now has all 'best ten' predictions under 100.
Congratulations to @BSE, @DJWYC14 and @silverfox who all made giant leaps up the Leaderboard - 5 or more places - in a week when lots of people registered scoring predictions.
Congratulations again to @Erroll_Sims, this time for a new personal best prediction in the season so far.
The best individual forecast in the season so far is now shared three ways - @perfidious_albion and @thecatwwfc for their predictions in the Northampton home game together with @tewkesburychairboy for his score in the Bristol Rovers game.
The table is tighter than League One - maybe 8 points separately the top six. a gap of around 3 points to 7th and then 6 points covers all those in the upper part of the table.
Many congratulations to Joint Forecaster of the Week @wwfcblue for extending his lead at the top of the Leaderboard, It is now just over the '3 points' - can't be caught by @DevC on a single match day.
Congratulations to the other joint Forecaster of the Week - @MindlessDrugHoover - for equalling a personal best of the season score [13 for the match - it doesn't show on the Leaderboard because I didn't set up the spreadsheet to do that] - and for also joining the elite group with sub 100 best ten averages. Similar congratulations go to @DJWYC14 for reaching the sub 100 landmark.
Congratulations to @PJS for reaching 4th spot which is a personal high spot for the season so far.
@Commoner in 3rd also tabled a good score, which means that there is a '3 point gap' between 3rd and 4th as well as between 1st and 2nd.
The 4 to 5 point gap remains between the top six and the swelling number in the chasing group.
Many congratulations to @silverfox for effectively joining that group with a 5 place leap up the Leaderboard and a new highest placing for the season so far. The gap to @mooneyman in 14th is only a single predicted person. The same applied to the gap between @bookertease in 17th and @Forest_Blue in 18th.
Congratulations to the three forecasters who continue to jointly hold the record for the closest prediction of the season so far namely @tewkesburychairboy, @thecatwwfc and @perfidious_albion.
On to the big numbers predictions for Birmingham City away.
Well there were big numbers there, just not the ones that were widely expected and the Leaderboard has few changes.
Congratulations to Forecaster of the Week @williwycombe, who climbed four places to 16th and congratulations to @Alexo who climbed a single place to 29th.
I don't think anyone else recorded a counting prediction and I have checked that indeed all those who predicted after I had declared the match day closed for further entries to count on here, nobody made a prediction that would have counted, amazing though that is.
Congratulations to @wwfcblue who continues to top the Leaderboard with a respectable lead.
Congratulations to the three forecasters who jointly hold the record for the closest prediction of the season so far - these continue to be @tewkesburychairboy, @thecatwwfc and @perfidious_albion.
Good luck to everyone still to post for tonights game against Burton, the 7pm deadline for counting predictions is about 30 mins away as I finish writing this.
Many congratulations to @wwfcblue who stays top of the Leaderboard, still with a '3 point' lead, despite @DevC closing the gap every so slightly with a new personal 10th best prediction.
The trio with the closest prediction of the season so far - @perfidious_albion, @thecatwwfc and @tewkesburychairboy were never in doubt of losing that shared glory with all of us underestimating the Sky effect and overestimating the crowd - congratulations again to them.
However many congratulations to Forecaster of the Week @bookertease whose score of 42 was nearly the answer to everything and certainly the answer to jumping up the table 5 places and gaining a place just outside the sub 100 club zone.
That part of the table, form @MindlessDrugHoover in 12th to @williwycombe in 17th is very tight, you could say separated just by goal difference.
Congratulations to @James - his 10th prediction of the season hearalds an arrival onto Leaderboard, good luck with future predictions which will give you the chance to benefit from the discards everyone else has benefited from already.
Finally @tewkesburychairboy now has 8 predictions and hopefully will also join the Leaderboard soon.
The Peterborough and Wrexham attendance predictions threads are both already up, please remember that the Wrexham thread will close for entries on this competition if both clubs declare a sell out, which does look reasonably likely.
I made a mistake trasnscibing @DevC's prediction for the Burton game which has a small impact on the Leaderboard.
Apologies in particular to @DevC
Everyone's position on the Leaderboard remains the same., with @DevC in second. @DevC's 10th best prediction remains as it was after the Birmingham game as does his score....
Many congratulations to @wwfcblue for maintaining top spot and with a lead which is unassailable in a single match. @wwfcblue had a score of 190 for the P'boro away and was second closest, but with a current 10th best score on here of 49, that was not close enough to shift anything on this Leaderboard
Many congratulations to the Forecaster of the Week - take a bow @NewburyWanderer - for the closest prediction of the season so far, which will only be beaten if someone gets one of the remaining gates exactly. The result is a swap with @PJS who was in 4th place.
Good work by @James who has a new 6th best score and @our_frank who has a new 10th best score.
Everyone else stayed as they were:
It does look like the Wrexham game will sell out - probably on Tuesday or Wednesday if the current rate of sales continues. If you want a prediction for that game to count in this competition, please make one soon. Predictions made once all tickets are sold won't count on this thread.
Many congratulations to @wwfcblue who retained top spot on what was a difficult match to predict, despite it being a sell out. One good thing about the game occurs to me in that it will make sell outs easier to predict in the future although perhaps in the short term the match result has made them slightly less likely - 🙂
Many congratulations also to @NewburyWanderer who held on to the 'one person out' record for the closest prediction of the season so far despite the long heralded sell out.
A welcome to the table to @tewkesburychairboy and congratulations to @James - Forecaster of the Week and the only forecaster to record a new personal best for the season on this matchday.
Congratulations to @Mandown, the biggest mover and shaker of the week, up from 27th to 22nd on the Leaderboard.
Congratulations to @Twizz for reaching a highest spot in the season so far, and for producing a tie at the same time.
Many congratulations to @wwfcblue who maintains a three point lead at the top of the table.
Many congratulations to @NewburyWanderer who has the closest prediction of the season - out by one person for the Peterborough away game. Will anyone beat this in the last nine regular season games?
None of the top six claimed a match score which registered on here, but there were a couple of big changes just outside the top six - @robin moved up from 11th to 7th with the 3rd best prediction of the match [44] and congratulations to @silverfox - Forecaster of the Week with a score of just eight - a new personal best for the season which gave the biggest leap up the table this match - from 16th to 8th, and membership of the Sub 100 Club - best ten predictions averaging under 100. The previously sizeable gap below the top six has narrowed considerably from 'around 5 points' to 'less than 3 points' and could now be crossed in a single game.
@bookertease (now 10th) and @williwycombe (now 15th) also made substantial moves up the Leaderboard and also joined the Sub 100 Club - congratulations to them both.
Elsewhere @LDF has moved up to be within easy reach of the top half of the table and congratulations to @Twizz and @tewkesburychairboy who moved up to their highest positions in the table so far this season.
Good luck to all predicting the attendance at the Lincoln home game on Saturday.
6 minutes too late posting to claim a top 10 score, resulting in a drop of two over all places. It’s a game of fine margins at this stage of the season😉

I can't find Shev's previous best score, my searches only go back to 2020. I presume @Shev's amazing score was 18/19 or before?
The best I can find is @NewburyWanderer's exceptional score from 21/22 of 32.00.
Leaderboard after the Barnsley Game: Match 28
No change at all in the order of the Leaderboard after the Barnsley game for which most of us indulged in some serious overestimated of the crowd - probably for very good reasons so -

Onto the Cambridge Away game.
I'm pretty sure it was 18/19, yes. Clearly resting on my laurels as I am diabolical at this now.
All the best in beating both! I am hoping you get into the 20s. No pressure!
I just did some meticulous record checking and proved my memory is not perfect. Here is a screenshot of the top ten out of my final post of the 18 /19 season, the first year we had an attendance 'Tour de Season'
@NewburyWanderer's 32.00 is the best ever end of season score.

Next game against Crawley in a fortnight's time.
