First time we’ve scored 3 since Boxing Day.

First time we’ve conceded more than 1 goal in a game since 29th December and We’ve played 2 Championship teams since then and teams in 1st and (now) 3rd.

Today we conceded the 11th and 12th goals of 2025.

We scored the 17th, 18th and 19th goals of 2025.

Played 17, won 7 drawn 7, Lost 3 (Birmingham, Wrexham, Huddersfield)

I don’t know what relevance any of that has. If any. We apparently played badly but won. That’s usually a good sign for teams wanting to be to successful isn’t it?

Yes, I may be clutching at straws a bit.

  • Leahy was good today and I think he’s been decent the last few games too in midfield. Perhaps the extra competition has forced him to up his game.

Did anyone else watching on Sky see Bradley totally blanking Berry for about 30 seconds after the game, I’m sure it wasn’t intentional but the camera was right on them. It was quite funny to be honest.

  • Totally disagree on this. Kodua was absolutely superb when he came on tonight - arguably a MOTM performance in the 30 minutes he was on the pitch. He was everywhere in the final third, stretched Rotherham with his pace, and took his goal superbly.

I'm so happy for the lad - he's had to be patient for his chance but seems to have a great attitude.

Doddy will have to word it that it's rotational. 2 home games in 4 days means all 3 can get a start.

Don't want to see it as a 5 though.

  • It doesn’t matter how you win, just how many.

  • Agreed, thought he was brilliant and I hope gets a lot more game time in the run in.

  • Loved how he dived into the arms of the Wycombe fans after his goal.

  • seems former premier league manager alan smith was right about (some) wycombe fans

  • BTW I still maintain we weren't that bad tonight. Rotherham were a decent side and we dug deep and defended well. Two individual mistakes gave them two goals but beyond that our performance was mostly fine.

We improved hugely as an attacking force when McCleary and Kodua were brought on to form a proper front three with Kone. Well done to MD for making the change.

5 touches, minimal swaying, no moments

    He's getting better

  • We have conceded the most goals in the top 6. Our defence has been tight since Norris came in.

Does Norris marshall the defence better? Or would we be defensively better even with Rav back in goal. I recall the Low interview saying they conceded too many goals this season.

( my view on Rav will forever be blinded by his clanger at Wembley, i have no issues with another keeper, but I'm not sure Rav was better than Max when he took over from him)

  • I dont think the ploy of using him at Right back worked. I'm sure he could have been used more up wide.

Dodds confused everyone tonight, the players, the fans, Steve Evans and himself. But maybe that’s the plan. Why play your best team and formation, that’s what they’re expecting you to do. There’s a thin line between madness and genius.

  • Rav for all the noise let very few goals in, If Norris was doing that you can understand leaving the distribution to others, plus wtf was he doing with his boots at the restart?

  • To be fair, matchday threads are good for real-time venting. This is not aimed at you (at all), but if everyone held fire and just came on after the game to act as though they knew what was going to happen all along and it was never in doubt, it would be rather boring! I actually enjoy the gallows humour of a bad performance play by play - much more fun than acting superior after the fact!

  • While we’re all pontificating on the woes and weirdness of Dodds & co - imagine supporting Rotherham and Evans. Championship club flirting with relegation with fantastic players like Pelly Ruddock and Clarke-Harris in the squad. Hugely underachieving.

  • Maybe they are finally paying the 'luck piper' after those jammy yo-yo promotion seasons!

You can't underestimate how much that means to those fans behind the goal. It's a big thing travelling all that way on a Tuesday night. One of my most cherished memories is Mark Rogers running straight to us to celebrate after scoring in the F,A, Cup win at Grimsby Town in 2001. It will mean the world to those fans tonight.

  • Kodua reminds me of a better version of Hanlan - the ball seems to bobble round him like his aura is causing a disturbance in the force, and there are times where it all looks a little messy, but then (more often) times where he just causes nightmares in a defence.

  • Yeah that's fair. And it is good fun going back through the thread after a finish like that. As I say, plenty of people were posting what I was thinking.

Couple of comments made regarding Simons. I actually thought we was very good tonight, he looked every bit a worthy Morley replacement to me. He just needs to stop those rash challenges.

  • 100 percent spot on, peoples little in fights can darken this place but people enjoy them or wouldn't get involved, and you are supposed to be pissed off when you concede and happy when you score regardless of your views otherwise what the fook is the point of any of it. You have to enjoy it and take your medicine when the opposite of something you were adamant about happens.

  • Just got out from watching Anna Erhard. Did I miss anything?

Got off the train and it it was 1-1 and I thought that's about it. Then looked when I got home.

Dodds obviously uninspiring and lost the dressing room.

    Ha ha. Rollercoaster or what?

I too have wondered if Norris has been getting the nod over Rav because of additional defensive solidity being more important than his distribution.

Then I saw the first goal Rotherham scored today. That’s a tough one to defend.

Maybe that was more 4D chess he was playing, trying to motivate the team into scoring three times?

  • No idea what happened tonight and I was there (endless M1 50mph limits not helping at present).

Evans said in the interview 4th official disallowed the Clarke Harris goal at 1-1. That was a huge moment though for sure.

    Injury time just totally bonkers.

Really bizarre performance at times and I've said enough about the formation/set up but the result is what counted tonight, fair play to the players for digging in and finding a way...
