  • TV can be deceptive but there's a very odd atmosphere at the New York Stadium! The King is having to do a lot of his own legwork here, Rotherham turning the screw.

  • Kone so isolated in this formation

  • Exactly. What’s the point in all these 70 yard balls up to him when the other 10 of his team mates are still in our own third.

  • You can pick it up on tv. Both sets of supporters sound very tense and frustrated.

  • Bez saying how quiet it is when some absolutely rabid Northerners are screaming blue murder in the background.

  • (Checks watch) Need Berry on to win it.

  • Not surprising with 3 centre backs and neither wing back being attacking. And our main outlet being a left footed player we've only played at left back playing right wing.

    It's a curious one.

  • Nice passing move there, back to Bradley who spoons it back to them. Will always be the issue with trying to play this way

  • I don't think we're anywhere near as bad as some of you are making out

  • This is soooo boring. Dull as dish water

Half time subs need - again. Time for Dodds to rip up his bizarre panic button experiment and go back to a back four with single pivot of Xavi Simons with Scowen and Humphreys either side. Fred and Berry on.

  • Not convinced by the back nine.

  • You have to wonder what the players are thinking being asked to play in these positions and this shape?

  • If this is control, I want chaos and anarchy.

  • We haven’t got out of our half for 25 minutes and we’re playing against Steve Evans’ Rotherham - and they have nothing to play for. Should be so easy to pin them in if we were aggressive. Force them to go long to our giant defenders. Their forwards are tiny. It’s not exactly tactico rocket science.

  • That incredible run from Kone only for him to eventually realise that all his team mates were still in their own box. 😭

  • Kone must be getting Newham vibes aka I am so much better than my team mates

  • Brilliant from Kone and no one getting in the box, he deserves more support.

  • We need Vokes alongside Kone if we’re going to cause them any trouble up front.

I don’t know what Scowen’s been asked to do these last few weeks but it’s really nullified his game.

  • To be fair, no-one could have foreseen Kone being isolated. How could we blame a professional head coach for something so random and unpredictable?

  • Sat in an Oxfordshire pub and fairly randomly can hear 2 Rotherham fans talking about the game..

’… shows how things have changed that little Wycombe are rivals rather than premier league teams..’

Nearly choked on my beer.. however is this how far we have come or how far they have faded?

  • Very poor half unfortunately - we continue to sleep walk towards a disappointing end to the season

  • Thoughts of the manager, ‘clean sheet at half time…objective number one achieved’.

  • Could we have made any more sideways and backwards passes?

  • I want to hear @trevor’s thoughts on that half. Suspect they might echo mine.

  • That’s one of most bizarre first halves I can remember.

  • Players look jaded, frustrated and confused, all rolled into one. I don't think we've been awful tonight, but it ain't been great either.

The confounding thing is that ML could have sold in January to completely skint owners who could not spend any money and had to trim the squad down instead of buy, and they probably still would have made a much better fist of it since then than our absolutely loaded overlords.

If the intent was to absolutely sabotage our season in the most thorough - and boring - way possible, they could not have done a better job of it, whilst spending hundreds of thousands of pounds to do so.

We look very defensively sound. But then you'd hope so with this lineup.

Need to get one of these centre backs off, put Reach wide left and Fred on the right.

Let Humphreys get into their half a bit more too.

And get back to a more sensible lineup that givesus some hope of getting near the goal.

  • Three shots. None on target.
