The State of Play...

  • No-one who matters, i.e. the coach and players will have "given up" on anything.

We try and win every game, end of story.

But realistically we'd have to be near perfect here on in to topple Birmingham, certainly including beating them away.

  • Funnily enough I was just looking at March and thinking it will likely be the month that defines the outcome of our season.

7 games in total with 21 points up for grabs and we have Bham and Wrexham. Whilst winning every game is important I'd settle for 12-13 points BUT 3 of those need to be taken from Wrexham.

    Bham - L

    Burton - W

    P'Boro - W

    Wrexham - W

    Rotherham - D

    Huddersfield - L

    Lincoln - W

Wrexham have a very tough March; Bolton, Huddersfield, Rotherham, Reading, Us, Stockport, Exeter. As it stands today that means they have to play 2nd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th and 4th-8th are all within 8 points of them.

IMO Orient and Huddersfield and Stockport are the ones to keep an eye on.... (Huddersfield play us and Wrexham). I fancy Wrexham may have fallen back a bit in 4 weeks time.

    For ref:

    2 Wyc - 64

    3 Wrexham - 61

    4 Stockport - 57

    5 Huddersfield - 55

    6 Orient - 53

  • Given its huge importance and the fascination a lot of people seem to have with the Hollywood factor, is there a chance of the Wrexham game on 15 March being a virtual sellout, I wonder ?

  • I think if they stumble in their next game and we get something (please God) from Brum...the pressure is all on them. We should play with our early season panache.

  • If Wrexham sell out then we have already sold a total of 7400-7500 tickets at my calculations.

    We could easily sell out.

  • A taster of the sort of crowds we'll get in the champs next year.
