Promotion Race Updates Thread
Seems like we have a few threads getting crossed over with updates on promotion rivals so started this one to try to keep in one place.
So HT tonight and Wigan comfortably seeing off Huddersfield 2-0. Had this on TV and good to see Dale Taylor score another goal and dent Huddersfield’s promotion hopes at the same time.
At this stage I don’t see them being a threat to us, Wrexham and Stockport.
Brum against 10 after the early red to Orient. Anyone got any updates who may have a stream on this one?

2-1 in the Huddersfield game.
A Huddersfield win and they're just about still in the race. Any less than that, and you'd imagine they're out of it.
The red card for Orient was a shocking decision by the way. Let's hope Saturday's referee doesn't get swayed by the home crowd so easily.
Birmingham finally gone 1-0 up
That’s frustrating to hear. Mind you, looking at the table right now it seems Brum just won’t be caught. So Orient dropping points is good for us.
Birmingham have won the league. It's much more helpful to us if they beat anyone they play in the top 6 (after Saturday...)
Ideal scenario would have been for them to have a real energy sapping battle tonight but Orient down to 10 so early on probably put paid to that. Hopefully a few tired legs on Saturday anyway.
Much more interested in Wrexham going to extra time tomorrow night before their 12.30pm KO on Saturday. We need them to drop points more than we need to score points against BCFC.
Huddersfield are now 9 points behind us having played a game more.
Since beating us they've picked up 8 points in 9 games. We've picked up 13 in 7. They've suddenly found themselves in a scrap to stay in the play offs.
Huddersfield’s form has been a shock but shows nothing can be taken for granted in this division. We were disappointed with the draw on Saturday but Wigan are clearly solid and at the end of the season it may prove a valuable point.
I actually think that Wigan win last night further illustrates how in control we were against them last Saturday. Yeah, there was a bit of disappointment from some of us at the lack of a goal, but as @WildWestFC has said, that could be a very good point.
It's four months to the day since we beat Leyton Orient at home 3-0 to go second and have not been out of the top 2 since.
Hopefully with Kone back we can secure enough points to finish 2nd by the time we play Orient again on April 26th.
Hear, hear to this. Wigan’s results over the last 7 games were W2 D3 L2 which is decent. They are a difficult team to break down.
Our home game vs Wrexham on 15 March is likely to be the most important game of the season. A promotion 6-pointer.
Stay cool @bargepole , my nerves are nearly shredded already 😁.
