I think they dropped to 5.5-6k in the last season or so but were generally much bigger than that early on and sold out quite a few against Leicester and Bath etc
The most likely outcome could be the redevelopment of AP. The idea of taking over the industrial estate has legs in my opinion. Not the more modern premises on Hillbottom Road but the south side which are mainly old small industrial units. Relocating those smaller businesses may be easier and it would free up a fairly large area for parking
I went to most games at AP when Wasps played there, and the gates were usually 7-8,000 in the glory years, but dropped off a bit towards the end of their tenure.
I remember on one occasion, I made a last-minute decision to go on the Sunday morning, and all the seating was sold out, the only tickets we could get were on the terrace. During the game, James Haskell had his shirt ripped, and he stripped it off awaiting a replacement. He had six-packs on his six-pack, much to my then teenage daughter's admiration.
Perhaps when the Labour government have taxed the farmers out of existence so they can cover the Green Belt with solar panels, we can build a stadium there with the roof covered with solar panels.
Man of the people/farmers/Trump, Beery Nigel in his tweed or waxed jacket and flat cap will sort it out for them with a pint in his hand and a fag on. Just send a large cheque to Reform UK (N. Farage Ltd).
To be fair, people who voted Labour and have discovered a few months later that they are just as bad as the Tories are hardly going to admit it. They'll go down the LedByDonkeys path and shout 'Farage' as if that chancer was part of the problem.
Back on topic, Labour have already started kissing Trump's feet so they'll probably abolish the Green Belt later this year and Chickenhead will be right!
Afraid not. Unfortunately the world the meek (us liberals) will get to inherit will be completely f£ck@d up by the likes of the Orange nutter and his climate denying cronies, so I doubt I’ll still be around to say ‘told you so’.
(For the record I do think Starmer was dealt an appalling hand but he is playing it pathetically badly).
Actually, on a more serious point on your post (which I accept is fairly tongue in cheek) your observation that Farage is favourite to be the next PM followed by ‘more conservative views’ winning out suggests that you think he is ‘conservative’?
I would class Starmer, for example, as far closer to conservative values as I have always understood them than Beery Nige.
(Oh and for anyone who places any value on what our friends in the USA think, I recommend (well I don’t) you try what passes for cheese over there. If you are capable of eating that and considering it as anything more than just about edible you are clearly incapable of rational thought and able to vote your leader as someone who believes that it is fine to kick people out of their homes into another country so that we can have yet more golf courses and overpriced hotels)
He's been thoroughly dull and achieved little but the idea that his start should massively upset conservatives or send Labour voters pining for the halcyon days of Bojo and Liz Truss is rather odd.
@bookertease I share your view that Starmer is playing his hand incredibly badly, especially for someone who purports to be a centrist. The problem for many who voted Labour is that they feel ever so slightly hoodwinked by Starmers pre-election promises & manifesto which offered an ever so faintly left of centre set of proposals; yet what is being delivered is a pale blue version of Thatcherite & Osbornian economic & social policies. Amusingly even Osborne has recently published a critique of further austerity as being the antithesis of a policy likely to deliver prosperity.
As for Niggle Fanage he is a populist who will say whatever he thinks will get him airtime and convince more fools to be parted from their £25 donation to his bank account (they think it is a membership fee, but Reform is a limited company of which NF & Tice are the directors). As those the other side of the pond say "follow the money". I find it wierdly appropriate that his initials & those of the National Front are the same.
Frankly the least said about Tango Man & his entourage of sociopathic/psychopathic Tech Bros the better.
SCOTUS will either find the balls to put a stop to their blatant get rich quick schemes or the silent majority will wake up and put aside their differences at the mid terms and neuter him politically.
Well actually I grew up in Lewknor so yes I do support the farmers. As for Daily Mail reader I am not, but I am not a Guardian reader either as I could cause you of being as you appose my comment that were actually made in jest. Still it certainly stirred a hornets nest .
As ever I will challenge the lazy assumption that American cheese is universally bad - there is fantastic cheese made in the US, it isn’t all plastic stuff.

@bargepole sound fair?

Is the tennage daughter the one who corrects people’s grammar and spelling now? ;)
Yes that's her. A fully paid up member of the Grammar Nazi party.
My girl comes with me to Wycombe games too. It’s good to share these experiences wjth daughters as well as sons.
I had to churlishly comment on the irony of you spelling her descriptor incorrectly given your previous comments!
I agree. I know an Oxford season ticket holder who tells me the home seats are sold out for every game this season.

*Daily Mail Reader Klaxon*
It's amazing how any criticism of Labour on here, prompts comparisons with Daily Mail readership, and references to Farage.
The fact is that Kier Starmer only has an approval rating of 25% on YouGov, with 66% disapproving of his policies.
Even Donald Trump has the approval of 53% of Americans, despite being a proven liar.
As for Nigel Farage, he is the clear favourite on Betfair to be the next UK Prime Minister.
Maybe the Guardianistas / Spartists have got it wrong, and those of us with more conservative views were right all the time.
Come on son, you've been on forums long enough to know they're usually controlled by a noisy few.
Between @Wendoverman @micra @flymofrank and @arnos_grove the gasroom mafia are a ferocious bunch to oppose.
Surprised it’s as high as 25%

I'm a mafioso now?
They even made a movie about you
And you will destroy anyone in your way with stats.
