  • Will Taf's body hold up on a plastic pitch?

  • I would be sacking my agent if this is the best he could come up with as a loan deal. Sorry , but it looks way below Taffs level. Culturally a nice move but football wise not so certain.

  • Maybe he just wants to enjoy a better climate and a different culture, have fun playing football and see what next.

  • Easing down towards end of his career, one eye on coaching or media, some warm weather that will help recovery and fitness, and new culture, good lifestyle and probably a decent wage, big fish in small pond etc. This is a great move for him.

We get carried away with our own reality and game, him battling against relegation on loan at Shrewsbury would be cool for us to see but isn't the height of every person's ambitions.

  • Perhaps I’m reading far too much into it, but I found it quite telling that Gaz publicly shared that he tried to sign Jmac, Wheeler and Vokes but didn’t mention Tafa.

There were a couple of times where Taf was dropped and Gaz didn’t suggest he was injured. Forino put him out of the squad for a while. I do wonder if there were some issues with Tafa’s conduct.

  • In fairness Gaz was the king of secrecy with injuries.

But if he thought Vokesy was worth a go, and Taf wasn't, when both have barely got near the pitch this season, maybe there were other reasons.

We always assume players will just move anywhere for games, but moving 2 1/2 hours away probably doesn't suit everyone.

  • Possible, could be a variety of things, maybe he didn't want to take a punt on him with limited resources only for him to be out injured.

Also old fashioned now but possible he only wants to talk about the players who were available on a free and not speculate about those under contract elsewhere or how much money he has or doesn't have.
