Maybe this has been mentioned before but I’d be interested to know whether MD applied for the role or whether he was on a data list compiled by DR, if he applied for the role then to me that speaks volumes on his own confidence in his tactical and man management ability to take the club forward. If it is the latter then I do have slight concerns about his tactical ability, he obviously has an incredible talent for nurturing young players but that is a coaches job. I trust DR as so far everything they board have done has been nothing but positive but MD's lack of managerial experience is a slight concern, I wish him all the best and will back him to succeed for now.
I must admit to being a bit disappointed that our negotiations with the FA (reported by ITKs) did not result in Ashley Cole, Serina Weigman or Stuart Pearce's girlfriend bring appointed.
The one thing that stands out from the video is that Mike loves a hug. Not sure of the current etiquette in football but personally I would have thought a new head coach meeting the players a hand shake (normal one not the ‘cool’ one) would have been more appropriate to set the tone of I’m in charge

YESSS
I think that photo made it into the 2019/20 book
As sporting photos go this to me is iconic. There is so much in that story.
Agreed. I haven’t mentioned his name per when I stated it was my last post on that thread. That ship, sadly, has sailed.
Now we've got a "head coach", will he bring in an assistant coach or just a coach / coaches for his backroom team.
Or a mix of said terms.
I know these never get picked up but in honour of our new manager and perhaps our best midfielder, I offer you
Cam Humphreys, Cam Humphreys, the greatest gift that we possess
I thank the lord that we've been blessed
By watching Cameron Humphreys
(I'll get my coat)
We'll probably just adapt 'Dobbo, Dobbo' to 'Doddo, Doddo'
Is Mike Dodds an amalgamation of ‘MIKE Bassett’ & ‘ Dave DODDS’?
Hope that we don’t end up sticking to ‘Four, Four ‘fu&&in’ Two’ or we dip in the transfer market today for ‘Ron Benson & Tony Hedges.
Dodds getting a mention post-match

According to the clubs final tweet tonight, Dodds starts tomorrow (not Thursday as previously stated).
I guess the starts tomorrow then takes training on Thursday (Wednesday is usually a day off).

Mike Dodds has a brand new thousand-piece jigsaw but there is no picture on the box
Anyone know who this is? Looks like Michael Appleton.
looks like it
Darren Drysdale?
It's not, but looks very Jaap Stam
I've met Michael Appleton and he is absolutely huge. I don't think this is him.

New head of medical
Just watched Mike's first day at Harlington and noticed one he is not wearing his cap and two he has hair.
Just realised watching it, that he will know Bez from when they were both at Birmingham
Is this the Appleton side-on lookalike?
