Speaking of co-comms one of the changes in the Rice era I certainly haven't appreciated is not allowing injured or suspended players to do co-comms. Would love to hear Harvie's thoughts - or get Grimmer back on today. I presume it's a policy rather than Phil not wanting them with him. Much as Brian Jeeves and Toby Large are good at the role, we miss the insights from the changing room we were getting last season.
Wow! I did realise it was that season you changed. Doesn't time fly. Given his other published opinions, I'm relieved he did not say what he thought of the misdeeds that led to the change.
I got the goat Wendoverman. because all this Shev does is criticise the two Sam's who are doing a brilliant job and actually getting more points than the previous manager. Also constantly criticises Dan Rice's decision's. If you listen to pre match drills they come across as knowing exactly what they are doing. And no I don't think they should stay in the job for the rest of the season. But his constant digs at all three of them are out of order. If he thinks that Bloomfield is so wonderful perhaps he should go and support Luton.
The Sunderland Echo is now reporting that Mike Dodds is set to join: https://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/football/sunderland-afc/mike-dodds-nears-sunderland-exit-as-league-one-club-make-move-4970887
Schumacher lead Bolton to a loss in his first game today after they had recorded back to back wins ( just to back you up on your experienced manager view ). Rob Edwards got sacked from Watford , then took Luton to the premier league , got them relegated , the. Slid down. The championship table , the. Got sacked again 🤣 My problem with Mr Grace is that he seems far too nice and far too gentle to me . If you read what a lot of Sunderland fans have said , he struggled because the squad still referred to Dodds as Doddsy and not gaffer . There was an over familiarity and he was too matey with them . This would have made respect difficult . One would assume he has learned from that and with a fresh set of faces this should not be an issue.
If it is to be Dodds , a coach as opposed to an existing manager, unlikely to have the normal entourage of first team coach, goalkeeper coach etc etc, I wonder if the club will find room for Vokes in the management team. Personally, I would have thought it would be a good move as he understands the culture of the club. I assume Grace will go back to his normal role.

This too, very Trumpian https://x.com/Neil_Harman57/status/1885335254145155193
Only Beery Nigel can fix it....send a postal order for £1,000 to N. Farage at Reform UK (Farage Enterprises Ltd).
I'm pretty embarrassed to be mentioned in his book tbh
If we were more like Neil Harman, we’d probably burn our copies.
I got rid of mine tbf
It’s the literary equivalent of owning a Tesla. But thankfully much cheaper.
It's a good book for a Wycombe fan, sadly tainted by its writer
How were you mentioned?

Lol, I don't think 'stats keeno' is that far off - it was definitely stats-related, I think around the time of the Pompey away game I did with Phil C

I used the phrase "keeno" recently at work and the Scottish lot had never heard it.
Yet wheel out stuff like "clean your boots" to mean clearing work from your schedule.
No idea why boots come into it.
Oh, no, I only changed after the Senda news came out (@Malone confusing things there)
Now I'm confused.
I was still RTS that season, changed to flymo a year or so ago
Oh I see...I thought the 'quote' was from the book rather than a Malone jest!
Doh!
LOL
I love the idea you think Harman uses words like "yoof" and would mention something like matey's username change in his book!
It's been a tough week.
Especially odd for you, who is the undisputed gasroom king of satire.
same here now we know more about the hinterland of the author

Some bookies have stopped taking bets so seems likely.
Good timing. FA Cup free hit at the weekend. Almost 2 weeks to settle in until the next game.
They seemed to have stopped taking bets a few weeks ago as well though.
But this looks more concrete and a classic totally out of the blue job.
Had to phnarr phnarr at the last bit
Yep best to leave a pause on reflection!

I liked the Jam's song about his brother.
I wish I could be like David Dodds.

Ipswich appointed Mckenna who was a coach, Birmingham appointed Davies who was a coach.
It's a gamble, but anything will be.
