The weird thing to me is that even if you believe it is completely Bloomfield's decision to go and Rice made him feel so very wanted (as is your right):
Ainsworth leaves mid-season for a relegation fight in Champo when we are 7th with real playoff prospects: Nothing but love.
Bloomfield leaves mid-season for a relegation fight in Champo when we are 2nd with real autos prospects: Judas, rescind Mr. Wycombe, tarnished legacy etc.
In fairness Ainsworth's was to one of 2 clubs we knew held a real hold on him, a club that had overlooked him before and likely would only give him one chance.
Bloomfield has gone to a bigger club, but not one he'd give a Trevor's nob for before.
It only makes sense if you continue to insist on characterising everyone's view as either black or white. In reality there are very few people on here that would apply to - you being one of them.
The Bucks Free Press had a whole page dedicated to that Lee Johnson fella who has somehow got near the top of odds, despite him even admitting to having no "real" contact with the club. So the mind boggles at what the "unreal" contact he might have had is.
From a handful of people maybe - we have to be careful not to let the loudest voices seem like the majority. I think - and I may be wrong to speak for others - that most Wycombe fans are disappointed he's gone, hugely grateful and respectful for everything he's done for our club, but slightly perplexed he chose this moment to leave for a club who are in a relegation fight and not a massive step up in stature. I also appreciate it's hard to truly understand his decision without knowing exactly what has happened behind the scenes.
The comparison with GA is a bit silly, IMO. Ainsworth was a truly legendary manager for us and took us beyond our wildest dreams. He left with our best wishes accordingly. MB simply didn't have the same tenure or success and can't be viewed the same way. But if we're comparing their status as players for WWFC, then of course the opposite is true.
Gareth had 10 years generally scraping the barrel to put together a threadbare team (often not having enough players to even fill a bench) plus doing mundane things outside the team to keep the club going. He had chances to leave, but stayed loyal until the poison chalice of QPR came along. Blooms generally did well in his relatively short managerial career with us but he had more support in terms of funding for players etc.
For me, Gareth did more for this club than anyone else in our history, but other opinions are available. Hope that makes sense without denigrating Blooms.
That is mostly tongue in cheek but if you run around trying to whack all the Bloomfield haters, you're the one that will suffer in the end.
It was great while he was here. Yes, I lost the faith Xmas 2023 and thought it was time for him to go. He proved me wrong. I'm sad he's gone. But he is gone.
I had a dawning realisation today, and I don't know why its taken until today, but we will (likely) have a new manager that has had nothing to do with Wycombe Wanderers as a player and manager for the first time in over a decade. Its going to be weird.

Yes, I'd say most of us wanted him gone at that really low point, but did anyone not come around...?

Make it make sense.
QPR was a special team for Ainsworth,
At the time.
That doesn't really explain the gap between wishing someone nothing but the best and calling them Judas.

Rescind Mr. Wycombe, tarnished legacy and Judas are all actual quotes. I wasn't making them up as a straw man.
And I never said anything about "everyone". You read that in.
Do we want this closed tomorrow. Just move on
Also a local rival
Again, the defence to digs stop when the digs stop. Basic logic that some can't seem to wrap their heads around.
To get back on topic... The market for next Wycombe manager has disappeared from BetVictor after Mike Dodds was backed into 4/6.
The whole thing is all over the place.

Mike Dodds - Wycombe Head Coach (Rumour) | Page 2 | RTG Sunderland Message Boards
A whole Sunderland thread on it. Makes for....interesting reading.
if we have waited this long. for this appointment then this will be a huge anti climax ...may as well stick with Grace

No betting market is normally the only market that can be trusted,
But this one has been such a clown show that I won't believe it until Mike Dodds has left us for a Championship club.
I'm fighting back not not disgracing myself with another c bomb after reading this thread 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He's not going to sleep with you @Shev

Just do it, it's cathartic

Are you saying he’s Dodds on?
Oh, I know this one
It's just a few people. They can think what they want but most Wycombe fans love Bloomfield
That is a pretty disgraceful response. But par for the course.
Nothing stopping you. Let us know your findings Sherlock.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 brilliant 😅 👏
Derek and Clive were much less subtle. “This man came up to me………..”
Wow, Cant even take abit of a joke and some friendly advice to try and not let other peoples opinion affect you. Oh well, Whatever.
All markets seemed to have closed.
Looks like Doddsy is our man.
Doesn't appear to have played football as a professional. The next José Mourinho?
