The improvement he’s shown in the brief period he’s been with us is remarkable. He’s always been an instinctive goalscorer but now he’s good without the ball too.
With all due disrespect to Luton he is too good for them. Going to a team scrapping for their lives is not the place for him. His agent should be looking up way more. I sincerely hope he has advisors around him that will look after his long term interests on and off the field. I know he has a special relationship with 'Uncle G' and that gives me hope that he will share his knowledge of playing for a team that loves you.
The all important stat of how many minutes per goal is missing. That’s the biggest indicator of how well he’s doing. Only Fletcher and Vokes with better numbers in League One on minutes per goal.
His finishing has been objectively excellent: 2.5 difference between his pre-shot xG and post-shot xG. For some context, only two Championship centre-forwards have finished better than that this season: Wilson Isidor (on loan at Sunderland from Zenit) and Callum Robinson (full Republic of Ireland international at Cardiff).
And only one in the Premier League: the Gasroom B team's very own Chris Wood.
That's only an overview - you can't compare that simply across leagues and one or two outrageous finishes can skew figures a bit - but it looks bloody good, and he's basically in a class of his own at our level. Would not be surprised if he wins the golden boot (do they actually get a golden boot in League One?) by 10+ from Stansfield (p).
Important to note here that Barry won't score another League 1 goal this season, so in effect, 2nd place in the active scorers charts is Stansfield, 4 behind the King.

Having watched yet another 75+ mins of Hojlund and Zirkzee, I’m convinced Kone would be a better option than both……
The scary thing is that this is after one summer of professional training and development. I can only imagine how much better Rich is going to get!
What would he be worth though in the transfer market? £5 -7 million?
At least 6 million, evidently!
NOW tell me stats are not sexy (these are vital)!
The complete striker. He might have the highest ceiling of any Wycombe player I've ever seen.

66 goals away from breaking Didier Drogba's all-time record for the Ivory Coast
There's an AFCON next winter, he'll be there surely - and the 2026 WC if all goes well I would say
The only player to play in the homeless and regular world cups?
(Though Gascoigne must have come close to doing it the other way round)

Kone ain't for sale

If Birmingham paid £15m for Lisa Stansfield, very few clubs will be able to afford Kone.
She had some good songs, but don't think even Birmingham would wad 15m on Lisa.
Not sure - great potential, heard she's the real thing
They've been getting offers from all around the world
Been around the world and I, I, I, I can’t afford Kone
Genuinely lolled
Amazingly prescient!
Haha. Stopped clock and all that. Great to see you on here, mate!
A nice summary of our King by the NTT20 guys: https://x.com/NTT20Pod/status/1884597112421458170?s=19
WTF! That is amazing! Hats off @Shev 👏
Apart from the Hanlan bit! The poor lad.
Funnily enough I likened him to Drogba when a friend asked what Kone was like
Just shows that if you make enough random predictions.... 😁
To be fair, I am a little blown away by how on the nose it is.
I just misspelled Fred/GMac/Udoh (take your pick). 😁
