For a senior management team who apparently had their own man in place while Bloomfield was in situ, we seem to be taking a long time to appoint. Perhaps they’re deliberately taking their time to make it look not so obvious.

He may well be a likeable character but I think our aspirations should aim a bit higher than an average manager at best.
I personally think there would be disappointment from a large part of the fan base if Holden was appointed over some of the other candidates available.
Someone mentioned on here the other day that we had someone lined up a while ago but now the timing isn’t right, seems they were talking about the Randers manager I guess.
I think there will be disappointment from the whole fan base whoever we appoint!
But if we are looking at the kind of model we have now, if you are to pick someone English I think someone like Holden or Johnson are going to fit that.
With our star player recently playing at level 9 and our new moody genius quite recently at level 8, it's obvious we need to find a manager maverick in level....7.
It does feel like this is dragging on a bit now. Can’t say I’m overly enamored with some of the names banded about though.
Is it possible we could even be looking at a manager who is in role somewhere else (which now appears to be the case with the guy at Randers)? If we have money to throw at players is it beyond the imagination to think we could buy in (via a release clause payment) a head coach:manager or whatever you want to call them.
On the plus side that bell end from Bolton doesn’t appear to be in contention….. yet.

I think it would be madness to continue with Grace as interim for that long. Let him get back to what he does best. Promotion is on the line - we need an actual head coach.
