They may turn out to be Maradonna and Pele on the pitch and on paper but the original point stands and two years on from Bobby C gassing about things he was never going to build they are probably needed more than ever.
Was a bit more concerned about roofs and terrace floor, and the like.
The academy is a financial gamble and we'll all be able to see pretty clearly if it's been worthwhile for Wycombe, the owners (and Kazakhstan) in a few years but with that long term investment and now £1m plus going into the team maybe it's rude to ask for more.
The thing is, if this goes south (and I'm not saying it will) we'll want to have something to show for it, or to sell, not much use the trust owning the ground if it goes to pieces. Wether RC did a bit of a number on everyone to get more equity and then flogged it doesn't really matter now but I don't think I've heard anything about the stadium recently.
Of course, nobody is expecting the road to be open this week, plenty don't think they'll ever see it, and they've obviously done a lot of work on the training ground, but it would be nice if it got a mention at some point.
I'm like you. I'm not sure who on earth it'd suddenly change the mind of, when considering whether to go to a game.
Driving out on some rickety trail on a narrow road out to West Wycombe? Not sure it'd change anyone's mind, as those parking in that upper field must already be comfy with the wait, or they'd find a different option anyway. And we wouldn't be increasing the parking capacity at the ground either.
But I think the real reason was a 2nd road would allow us to get the certificate to upgrade the 9,000 capacity limit closer to the 10,000 we could hold.

Don't think so - think it was a pure wishful thinking thing.
But New Dane 1 and Low potentially sounds the best ever combo of aerial force and height we've had since the Crossley and Evans days!

Any mention of roof fixing while we lash out on randoms?
Randoms? What do you mean?
We've added a new line to the kiosks ...

Madonna?
RC did say we'd have the best entertainment in the league, but he said a lot of things, she's getting on a bit now but aren't we all?
they'll quickly get into the groove
Are you suggesting we won't get that new road?
Have it done before the weeks out guv..

I won't start worrying until the owner, whether himself or through Mr Rice utters the immortal words..."Don't worry about the money."
The good news is, we could do that outside of a transfer window.
I think we’re more than a little past that point

Do you really think a road heading out in that direction will really help? Maybe it will but I don’t see it myself.

Not really my point but in theory at least it seems to follow that two exits are better than one.
Morley still has himself down on instagram as a Wycombe player. Even though he’s added a video of his goal for Bolton against Exeter.
There’s still something in the air. And I will 100% admit I’m a Morley fanboy.
Peak football would be Morley signing for Exeter in the summer and scoring an injury time own goal to lose them their first game.
if you look closely up to the top of Hillbottom that’s the Premier League you can see poking through the mist
🤣
Get in Gaz A...doing us another favour in beating Wrexham!!
Hull have supposedly bid £2m for Kyle Joseph from Blackpool, if anyone's still trying to work out what Kone's value should be.
I was impressed with him.at AP...but Kone much better and got higher ceiling
