Big statement of intent, love it!
Chief Football Officer Dan Rice said: “Magnus is a player with fantastic pedigree in the Danish Superliga and complements the way we play, so we’re really pleased to bring him to the club, especially given the strong level of competition we faced for his signature from clubs in the UK and across Europe.
This feels significant too: a football philosophy belonging to the club, not just whoever the manager happens to be at any given time. Exciting times.
And interestingly… He doesn’t take number 28 (let me dream there’s still a chance whilst the window is still open).
Look forward to seeing him play. No idea what his role is in the midfield. It certainly shows a commitment to the first team.
Exciting times.
And Joe Low staying (at the moment) too. Today is a good day.
holding midfielder I'm led to believe
Strange the different things that different people value.
Seems to be the B2B type, so I'd say not the Morley replacement
I thought Rice was the Clubs Chief Executive but now he's calling himself the Chief Football Officer which to me seems a strange title.
Also I thought we were looking for a Head Coach not a Manager
I'm not sure I follow?
#optics. The old ‘dead cat on the table’ play. LOOK OVER HERE!!! 😂😂😂.
No idea about this lad is any good (or whether he knows exactly where he’ll be playing) but sure ‘Data Dan’ was all over his champ manager stats.
No official comment on new head coach role but maybe the office deep clean is ‘taking its time’ 😉
Maybe we could relocate to the Danish Superliga! Sounds great 👍
A pretty standard title these days, probably less so at our level.
Good spot on the bit about looking for a manager, although the lines seem to get very blurred between that and head coach. We shall see...
Dan Rice joined the board as Chief Football Officer and then became the 'interim' chair of the board of directors when Rob Couhig stepped down as he was trying to purchase Reading FC

Morley wore 28 so maybe we are keeping it free for his return?
Perhaps it’s not insignificant that neither of our new signings have taken the apparently vacant 28.
I thought "interim" meant temporary, but he has been in that position as Chairman for over 6 months now. Does that mean he hasn't got the job permanently yet, and if not, why?
DR also mentions " short term goals" I wonder what is meant by that.
If thats the case its good news for Scowen and Humphreys as they can play the more advanced role they have done so well at. And at 6'2" it will be a brick wall at the back with Low.
Losing the playoff final.
I expect he has an Agent not a manager
He's here, he's there, He's every fucking where Westergaard, Westergaard.
At least we can (probably) get his name right.
Hmmmm, we will have to wait and see, I guess. It seems strange to sign players when we've got no manager or head coach, but that appears to be the new way.
As is office lackey Rice piping up and offering his opinion.
Hopefully, it'll work out, for the benefit of both club and player.
Seems to be vest-er-gar
We could call him Mark
Come on son!
Promotion from League 1.

He seems to be in a similar mould to Bakinson, who hasn't set the season alight. Be interesting to see if they fed the AI machine a different set of metrics for it to recommend this guy, or whether Bakinson was a Bloomfield / Mitchell request.
Shame for Matt Butcher who showed us what he could do again last Saturday, only to find himself further down the pecking order again so quickly.
I have nothing to judge Westergaard on and I hope he's a massive success - but nothing springs out from his career to date to suggest he's worth €1m - and at 26 there's not necessarily a massive resale value - so this one will be fascinating to watch to see how good the data metric model we're using really is.
Regardless of the much discussed issues around MB's departure, the signing of the two Danish lads for consecutive record fees does suggest that the club are serious about maintaining a challenge for promotion.
Our first choice midfield is likely to be Scowen-Westergaard-Humphreys in the very near future, which leaves Leahy and Butcher scrapping for bench spots. Looks like we'll come out of the January window stronger than when it started.
What is the first choice midfield when Morley signs?
Morley-Westergaard-Humphreys
(with Scowen signing for Luton on a free)
I’ve given myself a thumbs down for that one
