It is quite clear to me that the new owners don’t see Bloomfield as the long term manager and don’t think he is the right man for the project. If every championship club that have had a manager depart show an interest in your manager to replace them with each time him being one of the clear favourites, it’s quite simple, you offer them a new long term contract, but in our case… we have not which tells you all you need to know
I post occasionally on there. This is one of those times I wish I didn't ever bother. The hypocrisy some fans show when talking about loyalty is incredible. Gary mentioned above about Matt reading the abuse after the game on New Year's Day. Not surprised if things like that and the abuse he was getting last year was something he was thinking about when making his decision. He knows a couple of defeats and it will start again. May as well test himself at a higher level while he has the chance. I don't blame him at all. If talk of Rice and co not really wanting him has any truth to it, I definitely understand him going.
Actually I think I may have responded to you on there!
The new structure are well within their rights to want their own guy, but sacking Blooms while we were flying would have been to cut off their nose to spite their face. They seemingly haven't stood in the way of potential jobs that have come his way, and it looks like he's about to get one. I get why fans would be sad to see Blooms go, but I don't think Rice et al have done anything wrong.
It does seem like they sacked people around him with no notice or heads up to him, from what others have said. That doesn't send a very professional or courteous message, at the very least. Taken together with only ever referring to him as "the manager", it does seem rather personal. They are within their rights, but people can behave poorly while still acting within their rights, as we see all the time.
I guess a simpler way of putting it is that everything the establishment have done is within their rights, and I am also within in my rights not to have any respect for them.
If he does go and is successful at getting Luton up the table and into the play offs, it won’t be long before Blooms ends up either at Ipswich or a bottom half Premier League team , probably by the start of next season. Blooms is on the way up, and he’s not hanging around. He’ll be England manager after Tuchel.
I think our reaction to our bad run will.pale into insignificance if Blooms and Co come up short at Luton. But that's the challenge out in the cold world of more money and very high expectations.
He needed somewhere to go. This actually works for both parties - Blooms gets a crack at the Champo with more money and a owner who wants him, and our data revolution is not hindered by a chap who did nothing but get us to the auto places.

kone no chance he is part of the big picture

And Dobbo's refusal to take a player, however good, with a poor attitude.
I assume the Gaz suggestions aren't serious. We're a totally different club now.
Kipper knows!

I'll be surprised if it's anyone on that list.
If it's John Terry I'll be supporting Shrewsbury until further notice.
You are easy to guess at - there are only about three posters talking sense! 😂
Wayne Rooney - I'd prefer Dwayne Dibley!
Yes fans are fickle trust me it will be ten times worse at Luton
I'm guessing some of us chose a bad time to do Dry January.
I’d prefer Tony Adams or Alan Smith.
Was going to say. If he thinks Wycombe fans are bad, when he's got credit in the bank, he'll find Luton have more than their fair share of goons.

I am hoping Luton fans are calling him disloyal within a year. That would be fantastic, for him and for general comedy!
Also, Blooms deliberately took the Colchester position as his first ever job, so that everywhere else would look like a sunny oasis by contrast.
God no, we have moved on...need someone that plays progressive football NOT hoofball
I think Rob Edwards would be great or ideally Russell Martin.
Would take Schumacher, Sadler, or Rob Edwards.

Without much real thought, but Russell Martin wouldn't be a terrible appointment would it?
Wow that is some statement.
I'm going with what I know rather than conjecture. If there was real friction between Blooms and the hierarchy, I think he'd have gone months ago.
I am having nightmares at how many people are saying he would be a good fit. Please no!
Thankfully, someone who has
utterly failedmanaged in the PL will not want to drop straight into L1.I think our reaction to our bad run will.pale into insignificance if Blooms and Co come up short at Luton. But that's the challenge out in the cold world of more money and very high expectations.

I thought Yes fans were quite progressive , I’ll get my coat.
Wow, steady on. I'm not sure he's a generational talent just yet.
You're forgetting that ex players are always worth double .
Blooms will know his buy out figure so if he wants him he will get him unfortunately.
