Spare a thought for Walton Rovers (Bristol/Bath) way of the Western League (step 9). It’s been a tough season with so far zero points. Today a long trip to Saltash in Cornwall. Some confusion whether final score was 12-1 or 13-1. Early in second half one of their lads lost his head, dreadful tackle then a head butt earning two red cards before storming straight to his car and driving home. Which would have been pretty bad even if he hadn’t driven four of the rest of his team down. Cold wet hammered and stranded 100 miles from home. Welcome to non league footie.
Cray Wanderers results since the start of December suggest they've mastered the dark art of winning 1-0 every game. Should change their name to "Cray Wanderers 1" at this rate.
Tamworth's fake pitch and disgraceful profiteering is almost making me want Spurs to win here, but it would obviously be the epitome of Spursy if they fucked this up.
It's normally lazy to suggest a team haven't been up for it, but Spurs really haven't been. Ref seems to be doing his utmost to help them out, mind - letting a lot of blatant holds go.
Pitch looks terrible and the Spurs players are obviously cautious. Looks.like the ticketing has led to a lot of empty seats which is a shame for Tamworth on the telly.
Edit - looks like I was mistaken must have been toilet queue and prawn sandwich consumption left some seats empty start of second half.
They'll probably kill it off in extra time now, but Spurs should be absolutely embarrassed of their performance. They've not put out a weak side by any means. I'd be fuming if I were a fan.
disgrace the ref didn't give the foul on the Tamworth player then gave the same kind of freekick up the other end. Anyone elses ITV signal go off the moment spurs were scoring?

Still time for a Haaland hattrick
Multiple goal involvements for the first time in almost two years (I'm working on it, had to dig 🤓)
I've seen two players born in 2008 play today. I feel physically sick.
Not as sick as I feel when youngsters talk about much of my life happening 'last century'.

Better than my son who refers to me living in the last millennium.
@flymofrank giving @Kim_il_Swan a rare drubbing is not an image I expected on a Saturday evening. But there it is in my head.

Such a talented man, brought me to tears

Half-and-half scarves in the Tamworth end! Instant disqualification.
One Tamworth player on the shoulders of another fixing the net. Gloriously tinpot.
Watching this match has made me want to roll around on the floor whilst holding my head.
Embarrassing dive from the Spurs keeper there.
A bit dirty this lot
It’s not been the glamour tie that the bigwigs were hoping for. Hopefully the second half will kick into life.

But that pitch looks absolutely horrendous, can't be easy when you're used to playing on a real one
I like the fact that it looks like it’s been compressed with a really poor codec.

Such a huge chance to win it for Tamworth with the last kick. Should have leathered it home!!
Having played a fair bit on that kind of surface, I have to say it feels a lot harder at times than on grass to put your foot through the ball.
If matey had squared it there were two queuing up for a tap-in
Son is on. I'm gonna cry.
What a poor way to lose it

Tamworth should've had a pen there
Spurs having to bring Son on to beat lower league opposition with a heartbreaking late own goal? Why does that feel so horribly familiar?
