I'd say Steve Cooper more likely. Established at that level already with his stints at Swansea and Forest. No compensation needed either. They'd have to shell out a lot for Matt.
I can see them making an approach to Gary O'Neill.
I think Schumacher may end up back at Plymouth.
Had to look where Rosenior was and he's at Strasborg.
Not sure Cooper would go there, dont think they'd want Ryan Lowe. Des Buckingham an outside bet but realistically they want someone experienced to get them away from relegation zone so O'Neill might suit the bill.
Well if they are looking for a manager who lost more than he won at MK, lost the same number as he won at Swansea and would have lost more than he won at Southampton if allowed to complete the season, only manage to finish in the top nine once in six seasons and even then be bottom of the three teams relegated from the Prem the season before, then Russell’s your man.
MB needs to show he can effectively turn around difficult patches before being ready obviously ready for a higher level. Given our budget and relatively lower relative expectations, probably objectively better to stay where he is.
Did wonder whether Schumacher would return to Plymouth but wonder if it’s taken too long to appoint if that were the case. Can’t see a return for Ryan Lowe given the issues that lead to his departure first time. Appointment expected tomorrow apparently.
Should we have a “Russell Martin is shit” thread where @DevC can post his “Russell Martin is shit” post as often as he likes without it having to be in every thread?
That programme cover brings back some hideous memories of that game. Hopefully Neil Smillie isn't reading the Gasroom or he might have a PTSD episode...
I'd like to rephrase the statement as "Anyone with half a brain or ambition in their head would leave the 2nd placed club in League One with an academy being built, a billionaire owner and a culture they have been a major part of building for 20+ years for a club falling faster than an anvil from an airplane."
Getting into pedant mode, an anvil falling from an airplane would not fall any faster than any other solid object, such as a £1 coin.
Any falling solid object is subject to the force of gravity dragging it down, and the resistance of air molecules keeping it up. This means that the object will accelerate until it reaches the terminal velocity of approx. 120mph, and will then fall to ground at that constant speed.

For what offence?

Has he had his vaccinations yet?
Blooms 7/4 favourite! I reckon he must be making the bookies a fortune. My tip is Russell Martin, assuming he wants to get straight back on the horse.
Bloomfield to Everton etc
Rev Jones. He knows the club and that league, Danny Hylton returns as assistant.

"Wayne Rooney's Luton"
No? ok...
Sean Dyche's Luton has a ring to it.

You conveniently omitted him getting a club promoted to the Premier League!
He used to play for them too.
@glasshalfempty not much though from memory?
With the Dyche sacking, Blooms up to 24th longest tenure out of the 92. Incredibly, GA is already up to 73rd too!
15 appearances whilst on loan from Bristol City.
Jones to Luton from Charlton and Jones from Charlton to Wycombe.
From the Luton forum, this may be the funniest post I have ever read.
Time and footballing distance has made me forget how dislikable Luton and their fanbase are.

To be fair, you'd have to crawl over broken glass if going from Wycombe to Luton
His latest one is Matt Bloomfield has to prove he can turn around a bad spell of form!!!

Please someone go in and post this on the same thread in Luton’s forum 😂😂
‘Anvil from an airplane’ - brilliant 😂😂.
"Crawling over broken glass to get to Luton Town FC"; sounds like a normal away game there then.

That not how it works. Have you never seen Roadrunner cartoon?
