Well its good to know that the data model demonstrates that he will be a shrewd signing. Who needs human judgement? Well I do actually. I'll as usual give a cautious welcome and wait and see.
Not really up on my early medieval history / geography - would it be correct to say this is the second year running when we’ve signed a Saxon in January?
And if he cost a record fee as has been reported then this should put those questioning the intent of our owners back in their box.
The old cliche ‘put your money where your mouth is’ can’t be levelled at the ownership for several reasons. They don’t mouth off (Rob C please note) and they do have the money (Rob C please note).
Interesting and shows some intent from the owners. I do hope he gets his work permit and clearance sorted asap.
I'm also wondering if we are moving to a back three again...seems odd to have signed two predominantly left footers in the last week and to have the rumours on Imray.
Certainly a massive statement from the new owners. Aside from the money spent, their recruitment model would appear to be looking for statistically strong players in undervalued markets. As highly respected as Scott Mitchell is, possibly he didn't fit into this approach, which may have been the reason for his departure.
Not sure the data model would support that - or would even have supported that when we did sign him.
Which is why I share @DevC’s apparent reservations about that statement.
Having said that, this does look on paper (I know…) to be a forward-looking and ambitious move by the club.
Interesting times indeed and evidence that we have very much moved into a new and uncharted era with the first team squad.
If this is a taste of things to come, however this season eventually pans out I don’t think we can be seen as a low budget club at League 1 level any more.
Does this also blow much of the talk in the "Rumour Mill" thread (especially that of Aaron Morley) out of the water? A leftfield signing like this can't be any further from discussions around established League One midfielders or Premier League loanees.

Is the gobby ice cream man still moaning ?
If the current weather in Wycombe is the same as up here then he’ll feel right at home
If he goes up on the Frank Adams roof he might find some molde. credit @Shev

These are exciting, if demanding, times.
No ambition. The owners aren't backing Matt Bloomfield.😂
could see him being converted into a dmc/lb in the future

There is nothing like a Dane.
I most certainly hope not... (RE the back three!)

Rob C does have the money after selling us!

This has been mentioned many times on that thread??
Can’t be many clubs anywhere with three left footed centre backs on the books (Taf, Bradley and the Dane).
