We've been behind for 35 mins and can be annoyed at the manner in how it happened.
Weve also made no attempt to try and keep the ball for that time. The squad is much better on the ball now, and yet every time we have it we lump it to strikers that can't hold it up. I don't get why we've not even tried to keep it, even to relieve pressure
Really scrappy all round, shape lost, solutions haven't worked for various reasons, and an awful ref. Not the worst point ever but will be a long month and rest of the season if we can't do some business.
I am not even that upset - I thought we would lose, and being "all hands to the pump" for almost an entire half may actually help gel the team with Morley and Taylor gone.
Ultimately, it was a dreadfully unfortunate game based on that sequence early in the half:
Low misses an open goal for 2-0 (more poor than unlucky I suppose).
Ref misses head injury for a freekick on the edge of their box.
Just came on to say this ! He was easily our best player today... so why sacrifice him after the sending off ? He had done more in the first half than Fred and Gmac have In the last few games
Poor first half performance but happy to go in 1 up. 2nd half wasn't much better but Lowe has a great chance to finish the game off. When we go down to 10 men it was just hopefully we can see it out. Wasn't to be. Looks like it's gone in off his hand aswell.
Frustrating resulting and a sense of what might have been with Morley scoring another winner against Exeter, this time for Bolton.
The red is probably the difference between 3pts and 1pt today, but we also shouldn’t kid ourselves that we were particularly on our game today. Understandable with games coming in quick succession, and also a few things Blooms would have learnt I think (bringing Cam off rather than one of our ineffective wingers seemed an odd choice at the time).
Even before the red, Hartridge showed today why he can’t be our first choice so CB needs to be the priority position for us this week.
Elsewhere, I think Fred probably needs a rest and McCleary had one of his disappearing act games. I’d be tempted to shake things up a bit for Huddersfield and start with Udoh and Kone in a front two.
Our last 4 goals have been made up of a worldie, a dodgy free kick and 2 pens, so we need to find our ability to create chances from open play again.
Even before we were down to ten men did we have a shot on target? Other than Joe Low's horror miss (which may well have been offside) I'm not sure we had a shot at all. Putting Hartridge's sending off to one side, we have really struggled this winter period against teams that harry us and close us down quickly. Combined with our wide forwards once again not being on form, I think we are very fortunate to still be vying at the top of the table. I don't want to go full @glasshalfempty here but I'm not sure that any team should fear us at the moment. Other than Kone's magic and some moments of creativity from Humphreys, we're not looking much better than high mid-table at the moment. Time for a Plan B, Matty?
That equaliser was inevitable. Sitting back for the whole duration, I was surprised we did that, that is a very bitter pill to swallow.
I’m not angry with Hartridge, just bitterly disappointed. Plain amateur behaviour. He’s cost us three points, I’m pretty certain of that.
And taking Cam off made no sense when the red card game, given McLearly clearly wasn’t going to last much longer and Fred had another stinker (although to be fair to Fred, the service today was not great). But if the plan was to sit back and defend then I guess the Cam sub made sense, but he was really starting to make an impact after swapping with Josh.
Thought Gids was very positive, Grimmer and Harvie also had great games. Low a rock as always.
Absolutely fuming. Very poor first half and lucky to lead. But I thought we were excellent second half and unlucky not to hold on.
The difference ultimately the red card. A harsh one but Hartridge is proving to be a liability and shouldn’t play for the club again. Taylor replacement urgently needed.
we also massively missed Morley and need to break the bank to buy him now. Humphreys tried to do the Morley job and couldn’t. I’m not sure if anyone can.
Why does that make us morons? It seems to be a widely held view on here. Does he seriously look like a player who could be competing at the top of the National League, let alone the top of League One?
I didn't say this as a means of "punishment" by the way, just because he's frankly not good enough. If we consider ourselves a team challenging for promotion, we need to be ruthless. That's two stupid red cards he's had this season, and he's miles off the quality needed at CB if we want to push for promotion. If that sounds harsh then so be it.
It's a knee-jerk reaction to an unfortunate moment for someone who's been the boo-boys' scapegoat since day one. He's clearly not the Taylor replacement, but he's a handy enough squad player. The overreaction, calling him a donkey etc is embarrassing.
Hartridge is accident prone, too accident prone. Better than Taf? The manager thinks so. Better than Declan? Losing Taylor was always going to be hard but Hartridge as a replacement was never going to be the answer.
I’ve never been a fan of Hanlan so putting him down the middle was an absolute mystery to me. He barely registered as a nuisance.
Is Wheeler injured? He would have been the sub for me. Nuisance, hold up and intelligence. Clearly another one with bags packed.

Suspect Hartridge may have played his last game for the club.

You're not the only one.
I was a little surprised Cam went off, as he is a player who can actually dribble and put a defence on their heels. Oh well.
I know we were dealt a shit hand, but when you commit to just defending for 40 minutes, you really are asking for it.
haerridge cost us the win...hopefully blooms accepts he ja not a good enough CB.
Blooms shocking subs especially Humphries as he was the only one one with composure, Leahy again offers nothing
Low's miss at the start of the half now seems very costly, but he was immense at the back as always. Hartridge should never play for us again

Some utterly embarrassing posts this afternoon
1 shot on target all game and that was a penalty.

Pick ourselves up and go again Tuesday.

Big game on Tuesday now.
It must be exhausting being absolutely correct 100 percent of the time, no matter what
Eh? I'm talking about the morons saying Hartridge should never play for us again.
Sorry, *nincompoops

Ok fair enough, I reacted too soon as well tbf.. my apologies
@HolmerBlue Although you are wrong about Rav imo if we're gonna go there
He shouldn’t play for this club again, he isn’t good enough. It isn’t one occasion either. Sorry if this offends you.
But I may be fighting a losing battle there...

Couldn't have put it any better

All opinions, I never have, and still don't think Rav is good enough to be number 1
Personally, I think it's a bit disrespectful to call for any player to "never play for us again". You can dress it up however you like.
