This will be a great opportunity to get to the half way point of the season on an unprecedented (?) 50 points, especially with Birmingham and Wrexham facing difficult away trips to Stockport and Barnsley respectively.
It would also be great to give Morley a winning send off, if indeed he does go back to Bolton.
My guess at a starting line-up. I have a feeling that we may be without Cam Humphreys today as he seemed to have a knock near the end of the Charlton game.
Filthy day, lots of uncertainty about the line-up and the winds of change in the air. Hopefully our performance and the result will bring a ‘business as usual’ feel to the start of the year. Or we’ll be in complete meltdown come 5pm. It’s never dull 😬.
It won’t be anything like as bad as it was for the Reading game. The storm that generated the wind on that occasion continued to do so until the following day.
The wind is still a bit gusty here in Widmer End but is expected to calm down significantly over the next couple of hours. We had a brief burst (less than 10 minutes) of heavy rain about an hour ago but it’s down to spits and spots now. The colder air has arrived with the temperature falling from 10 degrees Celsius at 9am to 6 degrees now.
Let’s have Kone back today please. I’d like to see what Gideon is capable of on a better pitch too, preferably off the bench. I’d definitely rotate Lubala out today. Hope Scowen is fit to start!
Bit too simplistic for me to say, but surely it's absolute first choice today and v Huddersfield, and then see who is fresh / needs rotating for the other 2 games.
Will be an interesting game to see how we bounce back after the Charlton game. Would be great to have Morley sign off with another brilliant performance for us and even a goal.
I broke the train on the way here - I pushed the button to open the carriage door and it fell off. Apologies to everyone who had a 10 minute delay while they fixed it with gaffer tape

Rav
Grimmer, Low, Taylor, Harvie.
Scowen, Morley, Leahy.
Fred, Kone, Udoh.
Will be an interesting line up today for sure. With all the speculation around Low and Morley, I wonder if both will be in the starting XI.

Hopefully the weather doesn't make it a lotto like that Reading game!
I was looking out the window a little while ago and weighing up if I wanted to go and stand in the wind and the rain for a couple of hours.....
..... I bought a ticket.... I'll put my big coat on 🤷♂️🤪
Last time I checked looked like the weather would be the same for both teams!

All will be well weatherwise.
Same for both teams you’re right, but can also be a leveller which (for once) isn’t in our interests.

Huddersfield will be fresher too, as their match at Wigan today has been called off.
COME ON YOU MUTHAFUCKING CHAIRBOYS!!!
Let’s show 2025 what we’re all about!
At least it's today's game, not the weekend's one. Hopefully that game is still enough to wear them out.

Decent team. Being picky would like Scowen for Leshy but clearly his minutes are being carefully managed
Happy New Year Gasroomers! Hopefully a good game to put Charlton behind us and reward the hardy souls venturing out in this foul weather.

Hoping we get a few more in today, will be our lowest football league crowd? 🤣
Yes, after aquaplaning along the bucks roads I'm hoping for three points at the very least!
Matt Cecil fiddling with the microphone in the Vere. Might be a Happy New Year but hoping it’s an announcement about Morley!
Think he’s waiting for the TV match to finish…could be nothing!
December draw - no signings announced.
Anyone else unable to click the Watch Live link for Wanderers TV today? I can see the option but it's not clickable?
You can argue about Leahy but that's more or less our first team innit? (For possibly the last time...)
I tried and got that just before I crossed the border. It's ok now I am close to Vipienne. (Fr).
Amazing how uncertain everything feels isn’t it? Three points will be good for what ails us.
I had already reached Vipienne but found my laptop needed a reboot to catch up with me!
That's the one good thing about being a Reading fan. No need to worry about the transfer window.
