Great show, love it when I see a band who have so much material that you know they've really had to think hard about what to play. Now on the tube back to Marylebone listening to Heroin 🍌 what a band.
I’ve got distracted as usual and have been scrolling back to posts preceding @StrongestTeam’s reference to Talk Talk’s Laughing Stock. After seeing the picture of him and being tickled by @flymofrank’s description I decided to have a look and listen to Ethan P Flynn.
My musical mind is as enquiring as ever, always open to new sounds and I must say I am intrigued by the instrumentation, rhythm’s, lyrics and distinctive vocal sounds of Ethan’s band.

I don’t know who is down to support them but at a complete guess from your description is it Viagra Boys?
Haha if it was they've changed their sound a lot
According to the website it's Ethan P. Flynn.
Is this him?
No. That's drcongo
I'm not sober enough to remember if he had a beard
Enjoy! (And I’m jealous)
Idk if this will upload, but they covered Shania Twain
And Michael Jackson

…press me at all.
@micra We know you're the biggest Shania Twain fan in South Bucks, no need to hide it
Probably has the edge for me over whatever you’ve been listening to this evening. But what is/was the main act? I’ll have a listen.
mrs micra and I are quite big into Vampire Weekend.
I’ve just gone blank.
Vampire Weekend - I'm fairly sure I've linked you to their music before. They draw quite a lot from Paul Simon.
There we go!
@flymofrank I’ve only just discovered this album, it’s like Nigerian Velvet Underground, magnificent.

Ooh, good find! That song is giving me serious Stones vibes too, and it's really annoyingly that I can't place the song.
Doing a lot of spreadsheet work today, which I’m not great at and I hate figures anyway.
In such times of stress I always turn to Talk Talk’s Laughing Stock LP. It takes me somewhere else like no other piece of music can. Incredible stuff.
Laughing Stock is my all time favourite album, an incredible piece of work.
Not exactly culture, but I think @flymofrank might enjoy this: https://badkeming.com
I giggled
Just watching Deadpool & Wolverine for the first time and I must admit 'Welshpool' made me laugh (I know who it is)
just started to listen to Myrrhman. but suddenly realised how late it is so will resume tomorrow. Liked the fragment I heard.
Its Garbage.....and I think I quite liked the first one.
It's definitely the worst of the three but still enjoyable enough imo
