The Gasroom was one of my only social outlets during lockdown this year. It’s also far and away the most thoughtful and considerate forum I belong to.
Thanks to @drcongo and our admins for keeping the show on the road and also thanks to those who represented less popular views during the year. I may vehemently disagree with some posters from time to time but I do enjoy the debates and everyone seems to be acting in good faith.
I can only echo other people’s thoughts. Thanks to the good Doctor for setting this place up and for his continuing efforts, even if he chooses to downplay them. Thanks to the mods for their work. And thanks to all the Gasroom’s contributors who, with very few exceptions, maintain a high level of good faith and respectful debate, even when, in fact particularly when, we disagree.
Reviving a very old post to wish all of you lovely lot a very happy Christmas!
Let's hope Santa brings us a sack full of points for the festive season.
A very merry Christmas to you all. Hope to see as many of you as possible at Stevenage tomorrow. Stay safe in the new year and long live The Gasroom!!!
Thanks for the many laugh out loud postings, the occasional long debates, the odd argument and most particularly the totally irrelevant tangents that you lot love to take us all down.
And please find time to take a moment to think about the Grinch (AKA @trevor). 2024 must have been an incredibly difficult year for them to have come through.
But let’s also hope that 2025 is even harder for them…
Been a really good year with plenty of positive things happening at the club, especially on the pitch. A trip to Wembley too.
Who knows what next year might bring.
Ill finish with a Christmas story... My youngest daughter goes straight for the dog teddy when we go in the clubshop. She done it on Friday and the next day we managed to find the same one online and order it for her. She's know asked me to get the Wycombe dog collar and bandana, she's also named it McCleary.
