Millwall fans have almost unanimously sneered at the idea of Bloomfield, but their team has not scored in four games. Yeah, why would you want a manager whose side has scored 43 this season?
Thankfully I think they'll keep McKenna. It would be crazy to penalize him for overachieving last season and gaining them an unexpected windfall and parachute payments!
It's not that, it's the implied accusations of underestimating/disrespect that come with daring to be realistic. Not that I expect anything less on here.
This is exactly it. Nothing wrong in thinking GA will keep them up, but equally it is not disrespecting his ancestors to think turning around a mess might be difficult.
Also, thinking he won't keep them up is different to not wanting him to keep them up. I want him to keep them up, I just don't think he will. I'd be delighted to be wrong!
It's like you've no experience of what he's like as a manager. "In Gaz we trust" was never just a trite, meaningless saying.
The man is capable of achieving the seemingly impossible. Keeping a side up with over half a season to go and a transfer window to come is a stroll in the park for the great man
His most recent stint was a disaster at QPR. And I don't need faith - I am not a Shrewsbury fan.
Again, what I think will happen and what I want to happen are too different things. Reality is more important to me than burnishing the bust of a legend. Perfectly happy for you to say "I told you so" if he makes up the gap, because that would an epic achievement indeed, and I would prefer that eventuality!
Oh come on @eric_plant , there were many of us who thought the end was nigh for Matt. Back then he couldn’t buy a win.
We all love the guy and we were sad to see him having such a bad time but those weee dark days indeed. We were all anxious and very worried. No one!!!! could have envisaged such a turnaround.

Hilarious Wigan commentators! Firstly claiming a throw when the ball has very very obviously come off Asgaard, and demanding a foul throw.
Before yet another exceptionally lucky goal - goalie spilling it for a 2 yard tap in!
Great stuff.
The gap is down to 9!
Seriously though, well done GA - Wigan were a nightmare to score against and have conceded less than a goal per game.
He's lost today = crap manager, you know how internet fans work ;-)
Crap at the top level? Maybe. But he took a side to the Championship play-off final. It's hard to fluke that.
Danny Hylton just scored for Charlton?! I know the reverend is manager there these days, but it's hilarious that he's playing at this level.

Bloomfield for Ipswich can't be far away now.

I agree. But that won't stop Bloomfield for Ipswich!!
Charlton 5-0 winners at Northants
Newport 6-3 winners at MK
So of course Millwall score after I said that.
QPR are absolutely flying!
Gawd forbid someone disagrees with your two's assessment. I hope you're proved wrong.

It saddens me how quickly some have lost faith
Already can't wait until the end of the season

Were you being "realistic" less than a year ago when you were coming on here week after week slagging Matt Bloomfield off and demanding he be sacked?

Jamal Blackman made his debut for Shrewsbury today. Who had that name on their bingo card of 'getting the old band back together'?
Do keep up young son, much debated on the ex players thread, and I think I literally used a paraphrased version of that line at 2.30 ish :)
Apologies - clearly following superior minds!
Went to Barnsley vs Orient today. Barnsley were absolutely shocking.
No Game plan, not more than 50% of the crowd left in the ground with 15 minutes to go.
I’d be surprised if Darrell lasts the weekend…
