Personally I think that will knock off the attendance by at least a 1000, somewhere in the region of £20000 in ticket revenue alone. I hope the money received from the overseas broadcaster is worth it.
I remember joking many years ago that the commercialization of sport will end in things like every snooker ball having a different sponsor. We are almost there - not sure if it is the case there, but on American broadcasts, even stoppage time is sponsored (Lexus, since you asked).
The FA Cup continues to be degraded gradually by this nonsense.

Ffs. Why does it need to move if it's only on TV abroad?
Ffs !!! Friday nights just about the worst possible day for me, I'd even rather it be on a Sunday than Friday night

That’s rubbish. I’m working that night.
Imagine if we’d drawn Everton at Goodison Park and then this happened…

That's rotten
It's a tradition in Kazakhstan to kick off the weekend with a football game at 1am.
It's hard for me to think of anything that would make me feel sympathy for Posh fans, but this comes close.
No replays, stupid TV dates that don't take the EFL fans into account...Premier League is gonna Premier League.
It's a tradition in Kazakhstan to kick off the weekend with a football game at 1am.It's obviously been moved for the American market as their fans desert Wrexham and start supporting us because we are doing better.
Shev can enjoy a lunchtime kickoff as he eats his biscuits and gravy or whatever it is they eat over there.
Haha - selfishly I am a little happy I get an FA Cup televised game at a reasonable time!
Bit of a daft slot but no real issue from a few miles away.
Those Portsmouth fans already moaning about awaydays at Wycombe will be fuming though!
Just 10 of the 32 ties kick-off at 3pm Saturday - no won

Good to see the traditions of the Cup live on!
That is utterly mad.

Couldn't happen to a better club!
Four home games in 9 days. That must be a first 🤔
1 home game in 5 weeks to 4 in 9 days. Always the way!
Unfortunately, the only way this nonsense stops is if fans, en masse, refuse to attend - and that's not a fair expectation to put on them.
This is absolute bullshit. Contempt for the fans, contempt for the competition
Where is the overseas market for this televised game, kick off at 7.45 on a Friday night here?
In Asia it will be in the middle of the night and in America they will still be at work!
Tuning in to see the King.
There was a Mary Whitehouse Experience sketch (checks notes) 32 years ago (really?!) about the world snooker championships sponsored by Dulux.

Will the Huddersfield game still go ahead on Tuesday 7 Jan? I assume it will?
Would think so. Which increases the chances of Bloomfield fielding a weekend side. Pompey have no midweek game. All a bit depressing.
I hadn’t noticed that weekend sides followed any particular pattern.
The weekend chef is more experienced and offers curly fries, calamari, even stuffed olives!
