If it wasn't for the internet Cathkin Park would be almost completely forgotten to all but the most inveterate football saddos. Thanks to Tim Berners-Lee, part-time football saddos like me can luxuriate in its faded glory, and learn enough about it to give a couple of friends living in Glasgow with zero interest in football a guided tour.

Wasn't it actually the original Hampden Park? Third Lanark played there, I know that much.
I am an anorak, but I also did a piece recently on grounds that are no longer used, so it was fresh in my memory 😉

Home of ‘The Hi Hi’ surely one of the greatest club nicknames.
The second Hampden Park. The first was located nearby, with the site now being a bowling club. There is a hint as to it's past....
There was a great BBC documentary about them and their demise. Sadly doesn't appear to be on iPlayer.
