Matt Bloomfield's dinner with Gareth Southgate
Apologies if anyone posted this within a thread (I missed it if so) but I thought this was a lovely and fascinating article about Blooms.
Wycombe manager Matt Bloomfield: I had dinner with Gareth Southgate – and he paid
A few things that stood out to me:
Absolute class from Gareth Southgate to have that dinner.
Blooms clearly expected to go far in management, negotiating the Pro License cost as part of his Colchester contract to help him stand out.
Lower league football has hardly made Blooms rich (as has been noted in the potential lure of a Coventry coming calling) and he might not have been able to make the Pro License work on his own.

I guess Southgate always picks the same things on the menu and leaves the restaurant early.

At the moment I can't seem to complete the sign-up process in the app. I enter the library ID and PIN, then my email, password and name that the app asks for. At that point it dumps me on a blank screen with the only option of cancelling the process. Will try again later in the hope it works.
For those not a member I’m not sure if you have to show your address at a library on a bill or something to prove your Bucks to the core. The one in Wycombe is by Burger King in The Eden if people need directions 😁 (please do not go to the town hall)

That's a shame, I liked Wycombe library.
It's now one of those slightly wanky co-working spaces, but there's a really good coffee shop in there.
