Yeah completely agree. I think 7pm kick offs in a bid to attract more children. But children are still not getting to bed until 10pm earliest if they go. So I’m not sure what the point is in the earlier kick off given that a lot of fans will be put off as they can’t get back from work in time.
They may end up wanting to move on themselves. Wheeler's ability in the air and versatility can still do a job for us. Sadly, JMac is now behind Pattenden in the pecking order (though I think he is better going forward than Jasper), so he may be on the outs.
JMac is still a decent player, but is 3rd choice behind Grimmer and Jasper. He's at an age where he may want more regular football.
Wheeler for me though, is still a vital player for us. He can fill a variety of roles and perform very well in any of them. Maybe not a first choice, but we'd need him as a sub (finisher) for most games I'd have thought.
Really? I think Jasper has really developed defensively, but in 33 appearances for us he has no goals and one assist - in the Pizza Cup no less. That's one goal involvement every 33 matches.
JMac has made 218 appearances for us, scoring 10 and assisting 14 for 24 goal involvements, which is a goal involvement every 9 matches or so. Not only that, but two of those goals and two of those assists were at Championship level. You can argue some decline, but he is still vastly experienced and links up well with GMac. His weakness is how one footed he is, causing him to turn back a lot if forced onto his weaker foot, but he has a lot of pace, and if set free will often charge right into the area, which we don't see from Jasper.
I know Jasper is a great lad and improving all of the time, but he does not really do anything going forward - indeed, my next hope for him is to have the confidence to beat his man wide and put a cross in, as he clearly has it in his locker but I think needs that little bit more experience to feel assured enough to do it regularly. He clearly has the potential, and I expect us to see him fulfill it more and more, which excites me.
Fair enough to disagree, but I am certainly not smoking crack to have an opinion solidly backed up by data!
Fair dos. I think it is likely we have seen JMac's ceiling, either way, whereas there is a lot to come from Jasper. There is also the possibility that he is instructed not to bomb on too much, as we have ample attackers ahead of him. I do hope to see that change, though - I could see Pattenden being an absolute handful once he has the freedom and confidence to behave like Harvie on the other side.
If we are completely honest, there is at least 2 or 3 players that this team is carrying. JMac, Vokes & Young are all players who need to be released or moved on
Seems curious to lump Young, a guy we inexplicably gave a huge length deal to, who has barely got near the pitch in his 3 years here, with 2 players with a strong contribution to the cause.
Not quite sure how the team is carrying them either, especially when two of them aren't getting near the pitch and one is long term injured.

Makes sense with so long to the next game
Bit a lot of players probably need a start.
Am sure he'll find a good solution mixing and matching.
They do but goal difference is first. Then goals scored, wins, then head to head

If the head to head was a draw it’s ’scissors paper stone’ on pay per view.
Is this game on Wanderers TV tonight? Dont get why they are 7 pm kickoffs it's not COVID anymore.

It is, but audio only, I believe, unless you are overseas.
The early kickoff is probably to enable youngsters like yourself and members of the U21 teams to get to bed at a more reasonable hour.
The pandemic may be over but there’s plenty of Covid still around. Many of our friends and family members have had it in recent weeks.
Youngster I'm 34 - I'll take the complitment.
& I appreicate Covid still is around - just makes no sense - when I need to get back from London from work.
They know it'll be a tiny attendance, so presumably they just move it earlier to get it done and dusted earlier and get everyone home earlier!
My Starting Lineup would be:
Bishop
McCarthy Taf Skura Hartridge
Butcher Bakinson Leahy
Halan Bez Wheeler
we need to move on from Mcarthy and Wheeler .

JMac better going forward? Put the crack pipe down sunshine!

I love his commitment and he’s been a stalwart.
I might be jaded by years and years of watching him scream by my seat into space only to cross harmlessly out of play.
The fella in front of me detests him too which probably doesn’t help!

Jack Young has been moved on … at least temporarily.
Sam Vokes has been injured but offers a very different option - which I think is still useful in this team.
Vokes 2 in 2. Great option as he showed in Aug off the bench against our promotion rivals.
And Jason has been a great servant over many years bringing in fees in his time, no need to force him out the door.
Brave team selection from Crawley
This line always tickles me as players surely want football at any age.

You are very much a youngster on here mate. I'm 39 and I'm also very much a "youngster" on here! There are very few of us still in our 20s or 30s!!!
You young dastad.
