""He has dismantled the coaching staff at this football club. That is the thing that people don't realise.
"The fall-off after the semi-final was obvious. I told Mark to take time out and have a rest.
"But I then had a phone call from Mark saying that he could no longer work with Adi Viveash.
"That annoyed me but we then started interviewing other people. And Mark brought in John Dempster and Mark Delaney to go on the pre-season tour. That was his decision.
"It had been on my mind for a while, but we had already been interviewing for a head coach to work with our exisiting manager.
"But we had a senior management meeting on 30 October. . .""
Do Football clubs have HR departments or is it a special case that people can just be sacked at random and without senior level sign off by someone like, say the chairman/owner and no chance of being taken to court for unfair/constructive/etc dismissal.
That was a bit different as Keogh was sacked without pay.
A manager is contracted for a set period of time and when they are ‘sacked’, the contract is paid up early. So they generally receive all/most of what they are owed so aren’t entitled to claim.

Yes

Ah, thanks! They don't sound very functional as a club.

I wonder who Doug would ideally want as a replacement.
Now I know who Wycombestayingup is
They certainly can take the club to an Employment Tribunal, claiming unfair dismissal.
Before he joined us last season, Richard Keogh won his case following his sacking from Derby County, and was awarded £2.4m I believe.

Blooms is pissed at Dan Rice for "interfering" and that equals considering going to work for this chump? Wild.
Have you never worked in a decent sized company? It happens constantly. There will be an arranged pay off no doubt to avoid any issues.
Many Coventry fans are actually coming around to siding with King, or at the very least saying he spoke well!
