  • Was on the treadmill for that 2nd half down the gym. After the subs felt torturous hearing the latics throw everything and the kitchen sink at us.

  • I now welcome the international break. We need to re-charge the batteries.

Game on Tuesday will be a good run out for some players who have not had the minutes recently and then feet up for 11 days.

  • Beating stockport away 5-0 then seeing an Evatt Bolton team lose 5-0 at the same venue while we pick up another vital win is the stuff of dreams.

  • I wonder if Bolton or Rotherham may go for GA, given how poorly their managers are doing?

  • Visiting family in the north west and when chance arrived at 1:30 to go to the game jumped at it!

Loved every minute of that performance!

Showing we haven’t lost the desire to leave everything out there on the pitch.

That save from Ravizzoli at the end up there with any I remember seeing live, on top of at least one other top class one.

Hopefully starting to build a bit of defensive momentum too.

Sonething special looks to be very much in train now! Great to see the togetherness in the squad at the end.

  • Felt like it was only a matter of time before they scored at the end. It was heart in mouth stuff everytime the ball was crossed in the box.

Stockport was great but today was pleasing too, can't always be pleasing on the eye but it's getting over the line that counts.

What a contrast to Wigan away last season, horrible scenes at the end, moaning at the manager/players, fans nearly fighting with each other. This time the fans were piling down the front at full time to celebrate.

  • In the space of a few days, we've ended decades-long winless streaks at both Stockport County and Wigan Athletic. Matty's band of brothers are already history boys.

  • Only conceding 10 in our last 12 league games, 4 of which were in two tough aways, is very pleasing. Definitely getting tighter at the back (even if we should’ve conceded at least two today)

  • The quality of this division is mind boggling, there are teams right the way down to the brink of the relegation zone who are really very strong sides. That we are topping the table is extraordinary.

  • Though any Australian Chairboys think we are getting relegated.

(You don't see many Australian 'upside down' gags anymore, do you? White dog poo etc)

  • It sums up our start that at a point per game from here on out - relegation form - we would end with 64 points, one behind last season.

We are giving ourselves a tremendous platform to at least make the playoffs.

  • Okay, so. It’s my big moment. Number one, I’m really drunk. Number two, wow Ravizzoli you earned your flowers today. That was outstanding. I was so critical of him this season but my word was that a coming of age performance. And that feels condescending as he’s 26 or something. My god we’re good. Forgive me. I’m really drunk

  • Vids or it didn’t happen.

  • wow ...not a good game for the heart !

1st half we controlled the game without really creating much, we scored and sat back, Wigan we as poor side we have played in the 1st half , 2nd half we looked really leggy , and Wigan were very good much Franco was amazing, he is 100% our number 1

today was a day for Franco and the defende, midfield and attack did not really impact the game!

atmosphere in the away end was brilliant!

  • Wigan away. If you weren't there. You weren't there

  • I believe that was Mustard's 100th appearance for us today. Well done Brandon!

  • Win ‘em on the front foot, win ‘em on the back. We’re off to the Championship and never coming back.

Wasn't it great to see him back? Thought he did really well as well and helped eased the pressure on us in those last nervous ten minutes or so

It's some time to be. Wycombe fan, this. Our squad is amazing

  • Hanlan and Lubala to start upfront on Tuesday do you think?

  • The more I think about it, the better I think that performance was. I went to the Stockport game and that was a sheer joy. And a long trip! So easy to follow that up with a flat game especially as it was another long trip up to the North West after a brief stay at home without a ray of sunshine to be even glimpsed.

You could watch Wigan grow in confidence when the second goal didn't come, and the game became harder and harder as it progressed. Matt used the resources he had with wisdom and courage and those on the pitch did the same. Finally, Franco was absolutely brilliant with the last ditch stuff.

What a team we have to watch at the moment

  • So great to meet up with fellow Wanderers yesterday.

    Stronger together
