I'm taking my son for his first competitive home game today. He's only 2 1/2 so quite a big ask for him to sit through the whole thing. Hoping he enjoys parts of it but I'm fully expecting to have to bribe him with snacks and Bluey.
He's been rehearsing his 'come of Wycombe' in advance.
We certainly shouldn’t underestimate York. They are top of the National League and in very good form.
With National League Tamworth beating Huddersfield last night, we need to show York a great deal of respect. I am sure Matt will not let the lads feel too comfortable about this fixture and it is a chance to progress in another competition.
Have seen someone on Twitter comment that York have quite a few injuries this week, and want to rest people as well, and might not be able to name a full subs bench, how true that is I don't know though
Each season the National League teams which get promoted into League 2 finish in the top half with relative ease. Many of them make playoffs. As far as I’m concerned, approximately half of the National League would comfortably stay up in League 2.
Regardless, our depth is so good that we should still progress even with a rotated squad.
Would absolutely love to see a Brandon Hanlan cameo today.
A poor substitute for being able to watch online but there's free live commentary available via the BBC website - just click on the fixture. Probably 3 Counties.

I have cup fever! Looking forward to seeing some quality players having a run out today who just can’t make the 1st team right now.
York should be a good test, we need an early goal to settle any nerves we might have. I’m going 3-1, our third being quite late in the game.
Nice badge to be fair.
Is there a way to watch from abroad?

This is what I’m after. Nowhere near the ground so would like to watch it.
The club only have audio but wondered if anywhere else is showing it
If he sees Bluey the Swan at his age he'll be bedwetting for the next ten years.

COYB!!!!!
You just have to think back to when we were pushing for promotion from the Conference. We would have relished a fixture like this.
Look at YouTube matches involving York. There's some fine non-league football being played.

I doubt many non-league teams can name nine subs to be honest.

No video streaming anywhere in the world sadly. I’m not sure why the FA want as few people as possible to see their flagship competition.
COME ON WYCOMBE!

FFS. I'd bought a Chicken Balti pie especially so I could sit in my garage and watch it.
I prefer to eat them....
Is that Leahy at left back, do we think?
Does seem like the writing is on the wall for Jason McCarthy, which is a shame as he has been an excellent servant to the club over the years
Have we had a poem?
George
Pattenden Skura Hartridge Leahy
Bakinson Butcher Scowen
Lubala Kone Kodua
Something like that will be interesting, No shortage of pace.
Yeah I reckon so
I guess Taylor is the only cup tied loanee.
Is that the exact lineup that @thecatwwfc predicted in another thread?
Fantastic to see Hanlan on the bench and warning up.
Hope he gets the chance for some minutes.
Speaking of loanees Nathan Bishop was involved in the warm up.
Are we getting any commentary, not hearing an
Can’t get commentary at present.
There is a worry that an inform side are playing against an absolute Hodge podge defence
Online commentary here but from BBC Radio York - no idea why there's no option to hear 3CR comms
