Sauer states the academy will eventually have between 120-150 players. Starting with U18’s quickly followed by U16’s next season. That is quite some demonstration of the owners intent.
Nice that he gave a positive nod to the work of Dobbo pre 2012 as well.
If you genuinely believe them saying Wycombe will be a leading academy in England you are very delusional, there are only a select few clubs who are cat 1, which are normally clubs who have had a good few years at the premiership level. We are a club that's gets 5k fans. It's a complete pipe dream however much money we have , the best young players simply won't come to Wycombe, we are and will continue to be low on the food chain in our catchment area. I just want some realism I don't but into empty words and hot air.
Wow, is this really happening to ‘ little old Wycombe? The future looks amazing with clearly massive investment across the board from 1st team to Academy. £1.5m on a new pitch !!!!
I thought kipper had lost all his marbles when he said the club struggled during the summer to do any transfer business. Turns out the had a few more to lose.
I don't think I could throw someone 3 and half feet. What technique are you thinking of? I thinking from a normal standing position with normal clothing. You might be thinking they are prone and in an outfit that has handles. It's a very difficult metric.

Mission Statement is to "build one of the best academies in the country"

Wycombe Academy (incorporating WWFC)
We seem to be hiring some excellent communicators. Eloquent speakers. I bet they make fantastic coaches.
Not unrelated; Harry Hudson is our new Professional Development Phase Under-18s Head Coach.

I wonder what that means for Sam Grace who seemingly has done a decent job of unearthing talent. Is he still at the club?
A load of guff, pipe dreams! Don't trust these lot as far as I can throw them
Dan Rice and Jeremy Sauer mention Sam Grace a few times in the video so he's definitely still in the building.
Cheers! I’ll give it a watch.
what makes you take that view? genuinely just interested into how you get to that conclusion
And what was your view of the Couhigs in comparison @kipper ?
I always enjoy the "trust them as far as I can throw them" line, because it gives actual measurements to trust.
"I trust them three and a half feet, but nothing beyond that."

Have you actually bothered to watch the interview?
Can the answer be somewhere in the middle? Someone as talented as Dan Rice wouldn’t be at Wycombe if he thought the project was a load of sh..

Doesn't Reading's acadamy still have a Cat 1 status?
There are 24 Category 1 academies and Reading is indeed one of them, Derby are also in the list.
Both clubs have pretty much gone to the wall, which suggest they've overstretched all over
Have you watched the whole interview?
Jeremy and Sam photographed with the new guy Harry posted by the club today. Still involved and deservedly so imo
We should have a sweepstakes on when Lomtadze will first get to a game.
My guess: he is waiting for us to get promoted and have a crowd larger than 5,000! So in other words, early August 2025.
I'd guess a Wembley visit or a Premiership game. So late 2026 at the latest.
That moment where he turns up in gold only to find out he did not buy Wolverhampton Wanderers...

Sounds right doesn't it?
Watched it through a couple of hours ago and decided to keep my vintage programme collection at least until Lontadze attends his second game.

Are you throwing them individually or all in one go?
