Richard Kone is in the Pipeline
Just saw that Popular Football Manager content creator theoldzealand (hes American), released a video an hour ago about Richard Kone and his story. Honestly I never expected this to happen.

I'm sure there's a good story in there but I got bored with the padding. I'm not the audience for YouTube videos I don't think, unless it is one telling me how to change the batteries on a smoke detector.
He is essentially giving further detail of a tweet thread he came across, but He’s not wrong though is he?
Richards journey in life is extraordinary and we are very lucky to be part of that.
That is a…may….zing. An absolute zinger.
It is an incredible story. And sometimes nice things happen to nice people. I just hope we are still in the prologue of a much longer story.
Fine footballer, great prospect, appears may be a very nice guy, great to have him in the club. I do think we have to be a little careful about the back story however.
I know I am going to regret asking this - but why?
People don't always tell the truth , the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Kone's past and private life are his business not ours.
Suggest we leave it there.
You brought it up
57k people have subscribed to this bloke's videos? Dear god. The sheer amount of wasted man-hours.
Why is he just reading out Tweets and adding some racist stereotypes about Africa?
Well hardly. The video in the OP brought it up.
"Suggest we leave it there" is linked to what you are alluding to in your post, not the OP. Unless you think you have the authority to dictate what is or isn't discussed on here?
Are you new?
If you say so mate.
I know I shouldn't bite!
Just rise above it @FmG

Some people make stuff up. Allude to things that aren’t there. Infer things when they have no right to do so. Generally stir shit up.
Some people do that, and then try to take the high road and suggest “we leave it there” even though they purposely tried to send people down the road to bullshittery
edit: Or worse, say throw away comments that do the former without any understanding about what they are doing.
“appears may be a very nice guy”. Can’t we just take him on trust and trust our own judgment ?
If this irritated you then I urge you, for the good of your own health, never to look at TikTok.

What a stupid story. Why would a team below us think they can take our prized asset?
To be fair its just lazy journalism, calls us the Choirboys and probably doesn't realise we don't have to sell players now, unless the offers are on the very high side. I suspect we would only start negotiation's if the figure had seven numbers in it.
They are undoubtedly a bigger club
Mr cat was probably being slightly tongue in cheek, although we are massive now.
His main page is all about Football Manager and giving help/advice/guides and walkthroughs etc. His main channel has 367k subscribers and his most popular videos have views of over 1.7 million - which was about a fan Tiago Rech and his beloved team in Brazil - Santa Cruz.
This second channel with 57k subscribers is more of a spin off channel to keep the FM stuff on one page, and other real world football things on a separate one. It’s a fairly well trodden route for YT creators as viewers can get uppity when thier subscribed channel starts posting vids different to what they originally subscribed for.
He is also an American that has a massive appreciation of football in general and it has grown from just playing a football game to travelling the world and visiting some of the smaller clubs in more obscure leagues that he got to know playing the game and then was invited to meet the real people depicted in the game.
The reason he is just reading out a tweet is that he wanted to expose another good news story from within football - much like he did with hidden clubs around the world including the faroe island clubs to really paint in around the edges of what makes football great, globally.
Now sure, there might be more than a little stereotyping sprinkled into his piece about Kone, but as to the why he’s done the piece? Well, because he wants to focus on these minnows vs giants good news story’s there are in football.
its what’s made him love the game.
its what makes a lot of us love the game.
His delivery could/should be better but I don’t think he should be condemned for wanting to publise a good news story to his viewers around the world that may not have heard about Kone, or indeed Wycombe Wanderers
Also, people in glass houses….
my visit to this site is over 7500. FML.

With apologies to Marshall McLuhan, it's the medium rather than the message that I find stupid. I honestly have no idea why anyone would think to themselves "I'm going to make a video of me reading out some tweets" instead of just sharing a link to the Twitter thread. 99.9% of YouTube is what Charlie Brooker used to refer to as "wanking for coins" - ditching any semblance of dignity in exchange for clicks and likes. I mean, just look at all those thumbnails of people pulling stupid faces in the sidebar.
That Charlie Brooker quote takes me back, the 10-year old me loved his foul-mouthed reviews in PC Zone magazine back in the day. Pretty sure that phrase was in the review of a thoroughly tedious game he was contractually obliged to churn out 200 words about.
