Swansea away
Hi folks,
From Swansea Independent.
www.swanseaIndependent.co.uk
We have a match day discussion on the forum.
Ok to put a few questions on here for tomorrow nights game ?
No issues at the pubs around the ground, bar the Railway, best avoided.
Would recommend parking near the ground to get away quickly.
Landore Park and Walk (SA1 2JT)
Opens two and a half hours before kick-off
Closes one hour after full time
All sites are charged at £7 per vehicle.
For those that come it’s a pretty decent stadium, plenty of food stuff but cashless.
After Sundays derby, which was mayhem, we should see the Swans field a fairly different side.
Best of luck and safe travels 👍

Here’s some Q’s for those who want their names or anonymously in lights on the Swans biggest website 😉

Thanks please answer what you can or all. Much appreciated. Our we site is connected to the Brain Tumour Charity for charitable funding and advice. Thanks 👍
1. A hybrid between now trying to pass and play it out from the back mixed with an ingrained mentality to lump it long if all else fails.
2. A bit early in the season to say, but most of us are reasonably happy...ish with our new recruitments. Humpfreys and Morley changed the game for us last week. Morley however is cup tied for this one.
3. Kone up front has many of us hoping for a striker who will get well into double figures for us this season.... however he is still very green and unproven at our level.
4. Personally I'm hoping for at least to be able to match last seasons 10th placed finish in league 1
5. Not a clue... id guess circa 300?
6. Bloomfield is a promising young manager who is learning and improving all the time. I currently think he is doing a Stirling job.
7. I feel our weakness is maybe not knowing who our true best starting 11 is yet and in what formation.
However I expect our team will be swapped up quite a bit with our match against you. We have a mini injury crisis and I expect some of our top players will be rested for the league game against Blackpool shortly after we play you.
You are welcome to post my answers under my name on here.
@SwanseaIndy would you be kind enough to answer the same questions for your team?
Anyone else 👍
8 Which team has the best swan?
Thanks folks we will put the last two on the forums match day thread.
Game build up story this morning. We’ve called it a crisis for journalistic effect 😂

Cheers everyone 🙏
It’s pretty funny that we have an “injury crisis” and according to Bloomfield are “down to our bare bones”.
But, apart from Bishop and possibly Grimmer and new signing Morley, we should be able to field our strongest eleven tonight. We should also have a pretty competitive bench.
Don't we also have (in addition to Bishop, Grimmer & cup-tied Morley), Tafazolli, Vokes, Lubala, Hanlan, Leahy and Wheeler all unavailable?
I'd say that's a pretty hefty injury list given we are still in August. What was the story McCleary put up about someone in our medical department leaving shortly before the Wrexham game? Have we replaced them?
Bloomfield suggested that playing in Wales on Wednesday night and then playing in Blackpool by Saturday lunch time is a very difficult turnaround for a senior squad of players that has nearly 10 senior pros out of contention. And the fixture tonight is against Championship opposition. I think this is a fair outcry. We shouldn’t be surprised if we struggle tonight. These first few weeks have been a jam-packed schedule for a squad with limited depth whilst we deal with the injuries.
That’s correct. But even with so many absentees both our starting eleven and bench are strong. No crisis, no bare bones. Even though having so many players injured at once isn’t ideal.
Thank god we have a couple of weeks without a midweek game after next week. Been a real tough start for sure
I don’t really buy that (early) excuse. They will more than likely have two weeks off after Saturday. Having just had several months off. The club are also putting them up in hotels four nights running. No reason why they can’t perform at their best.
We have not had any injury updates for the best part of a decade so to have a crisis is quite exciting. Previously you could see a player on a drip in a wheelchair and the official line would be 'we will see where we are for Saturday'. Where our crisis will hit is specialist players in specialist positions. So long as you don't tell I would worry about our right back position and centre back too.
The early indications are that the move from Booker to Harlington hasn't stopped us picking up injuries in training.
Taf doesn't get in your strongest 11? A lot would argue Leahy is in there too.
Not sure why Grimmer gets a "possibly". He's arguably the most nailed of all the starters.
So 4/5 missing from 11 is quite a lot a few games in.
It's almost like Booker wasn't quite the jagged pits of hell and Harlington isn't the land of milk and honey.
Grimmer is possibly because he might not be out.
Hartridge gets in over Tafazolli for me (despite his poor start).
I don’t think Leahy gets in Wycombe best eleven given the two midfielders signed last week.
Agreed with the 2 new signings in midfield Leahy isn’t a regular starter for me now. You’ve got to assume the midfield 3 will be Scowen, Morley with Humphries in the 10.
I would still have Taff as first choice CB when fit though.
Morley is cup tied tonight but will definitely play on Saturday, provided he doesnt trip over the dog/cat/goldfish or whatever it was that caused Tafs latest injury.
He'd be in with a shout of going in at left back ahead of Harvie.
Taff has been far better than Hartridge so far this season, Looked really assured *but injury prone.
Hartridge is only new though and hopefully will bed in but might end up as LB cover.
Taffs is an incredibly underrated player. He is definitely injury prone, but when healthy he is an absolute rock at the back.
That's the problem though. i was just thinking this whilst out this evening walking the dog. With all his lotions & potions, he is out injured far too often. Agreed though on the rare occasion he is fit and raring to go, he is outstanding in a pit of average!
Too much playing 5aside with his mates (see youtube)
Sky kept on buffering. Gave up.
Kone
Not buffering at all for me - possibly your connection rather than the sky feed
