If only IFAB would change the law so the ref could simply handover the throw to the opposing side if he considers too much time is being taken rather than show a yellow.
Before I learned of Hartridge's red card, I was literally just thinking - "what if a CB gets suspended and we have another injured at the same time?"
With Skura relatively untested at this level, we could get caught light at the back. Same applies for Harvie. If he gets injured, Leahy moves back to LB and it disrupts what we are building.
All hypothetical of course. Surely Chelsea have some players they could lend us?

If you're at the game please could you start a chant asking the cameraman to zoom out
Stupid decision by ref
At least that rules Hartridge out of the game on Saturday. Let’s hope glass man Tafazolli can manage 180 minutes in a week.
Isn’t the ref supposed to give a warning for time wasting before getting the card out?
What happened?
Horror show Hartridge is having a very ignominious start to his Wycombe career.
Hartridge took too long with a throw and got a second yellow
Just to clarify, Hartridge will now be suspended on Saturday (one match ban).
FARTridge
Let's be positive (and seeing we're at Northampton), so did Steve Brown
Possibly good news? 🤔
Think he'd waved at them a couple of times already, we were taking ages on goal kicks
How long did he take - Wrexham were taking ages back end of the match Saturday to do anything
Worst case scenario, Leahy could move back there if Taffs needs to be subbed at any point. I think Ryan will be fine though.
Birmingham centre half Dion Sanderson has just been sent off and similarly will miss Saturday.
Do these sort of comments go down a storm with your real life gang out of interest?
89th minute coming up.
Who is Dominic Udoh?
Kone is going to have a game this season where they all go in and he scores three or four. He seems nailed on to end our hattrick drought.
I sense that he's going to be a peculiar nuisance this season
Hobsons choice.

Let's not be blaming Hartridge too much for the second card, he's one of 4 who could have got it, and one of hundreds over the last decade.
If there's a lesson it's bloody attack because this sort of thing doesn't have to harm you if you have a good lead.
A win's a win.

Is getting a few thumbs up on the gasroom the highlight of your week?
Are you sure?
Ok, so this is taken from last season, but still…

Grimmer, McCarthy, Pattenden and Leahy all offer added flexibility at the back.
Northampton are going to be at the wrong end of L1 this season, but much more to be encouraged about today.
That said we won, and missed a hat full of chances. Can't be that bad.
It is mine.
