I did think this close to the seasons start, that our team today would probably be very close to who blooms feels is his 1st choice starting 11
I'm not one to count my hens, and I know friendlies mean next to nothing... but this performance against a champion side... plus thrashing pompy.... another champion side.... does give me hopeful optimism for our season I must admit

I think/hope doing our business earlier than usual has given our players more time to gel
I think that’s part of the reason for 70+ mins of only one sub. We had a fractious pre season last season and Matt will undoubtedly have learnt the corresponding lesson

I am with you there! Also, instead of the transition of last season we have a large core who remained, and a much more confident manager with a team in his image.

Been impressed with Hartridge, has just quietly gone about his job, he clearly enjoys defending.
I would have 9 of these (including Sadlier) in the lineup, with just Butcher/Bakinson and Taffs/Hartridge as questions, personally.
A little disappointed not to see Udoh have a run out, though.
