If Wrexham start like they did last season they'll get tanked in their opening games while they adapt to the higher division and then storm their way into the automatic places by the end of it. Facing them in the opening game is perhaps the best time to play them.
Very much agree - Wrexham, Birmingham and Rotherham is quite the gauntlet, but if we come through it with 4-5+ points we would have some of the hardest games out of the way while being in a reasonable spot.
Would have been nice to see Bartolo involved in the friendly just because I want to see how he's settling in, likely he was involved with the BCD game vs Chelsea XI though. I doubt we'll see a lot of him in his first season except in the cups maybe, unless he ends up scoring for fun on international duty in the Nations League this September/October.
If special interest means what I think it means, certainly not! Thanks for the offer of help, but I don’t know how to resolve this issue, I think Micra and I are in competition for the gold medal when it comes to IT problems!
That’s impressive. I don’t think I’d have known what to google for such a Gasroom specific situation. On the rare occasions that I post nothing for more than 24 hours I get the highly offensive message - howdy stranger. I get back in quite quickly with a couple of steps and the ubiquitous finger print.
Well that’s one up for me and you are now alone in the gold medal position for most bemused gasroomer when it comes to technology! Being a sporting chap (except at Wycombe games, naturally), I can reveal that if you Google ‘How to remove incognito mode from iPhone’ there are several tutorials and it’s remarkably simple even for seniors like us.
Agree. It’s a poor pitch at Marlow Road. My son played there in a tournament several years ago and I was not impressed by the pitches. The tournament had been moved from Adams Park where the pitch is excellent, as we all know.
Saw the BFP article today about a hardy bunch making a 20mile walk to Watford on Tuesday, arriving in time to watch the game at Vicarage Road, that apparently ended 2-0.
Have they got a number of details wrong here, or did we actually play another friendly against the same team on the same day!

This was the squad for the Chelsea game - https://www.wwfc.com/news/2024/july/31/taf-and-dan-on-target-in-chelsea-draw/
I'm happy to settle for a draw!
Penalty shootout?
Sounds like your browser is set to Private/Incognito mode, have you been visiting some special interest sites and forgotten to flip back?

Agreed, provided I can have Cole Palmer taking my penalties.
Ok you win!
The gasroom appears instantly when I press on the app icon but then I get this message below even though I have ticked ‘Remember me’:
Howdy, Stranger!
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

It certainly sounds like you've accidentally started an incognito / private browser session.
@Chris Who is that and what does it say on his leg?
Wrexham’s James McClean, and it is a replica of the ‘you are now entering Free Derry’ sign from his home town.
The resolution isn't brilliant on that photo, though it appears to be of this famous mural from Derry/Londonderry/Stroke City.
No idea what the writing beneath the mural tattoo says.
Sorry to be a pain but do you know how I get back to how it was before this issue began a couple of days ago?
Thanks for the advice.
Chocolate chip!
Problem solved! I googled the issue and that told me what to do and it’s worked. Appreciate the advice from you and others.
Thanks @Chris
And well done @glasshalffull
You’re a card and no mistake !!

The one you discard from the pack.

I'm delighted that we seemed to be so committed in the friendly, I can't remember us making a tackle for the first 3 games last season.
