Anyone still following Neil Harman on twitter?
Twitter can be an absolute cesspit at times and yet he is managing to consistently repost tweets from some of the vilest accounts out there, which is quite some feat.
The bloke often mentions his Wycombe connection but I think the time has come for the club to distance itself publicly form such a clearly dreadful bloke. He is as far distanced from what Wycombe stand for in terms of acceptance and inclusivity as it is possible to imagine.
He should not be welcomed back to Adams Park or the training ground ever again

I just went and had a look. Holy shit. I was expecting the usual small minded nonsense you’d get from someone who used to write for the Daily Heil, but he seems unhinged.
He's fully off the deep end, watch list territory
Should everyone with a right wing view be banned from Adams Park?
No
Poorly worded from me above, he should be allowed to buy a ticket and watch games like the rest of us. He shouldn't be refereeing training ground matches or be portrayed as a "friend of the club" as he has been over the years
Those views aren't just right wing they're deranged.
If you want to be inclusive then people have to be banned. Keep up, Granddad!!
As far as I understand it, he hadn’t been present at the training ground or stadium in months.
It sets a bad precedent to ban people for social media views. What next? Ban people from Adams Park for views on the gasroom that the majority disagree with?
Apart from 'Wycombe Wdrs' there's nothing that connects him with the football club. He's obviously a Southend fan, and any sort of official statement would only draw attention to him.
Also, @eric_plant the block button is your friend.
No-one saying anyone should be banned. As I've already said, my original post was not well expressed
That's very true, but it's also useful to know if people you've come across elsewhere hold abhorrent views
Ok
Ohhhh
.
I just went to have a look.... wasn't quite expecting that... wow
Banning someone from something they have no intention of doing is bad pr and counterproductive but it's not best to ignore everything posted on social media as bants, WWFC represents players, families, fans and the community, you shouldn't be able to abuse people left right and centre and cause real problems for people and then cling to the freedoms you are denying others.
Still follow him mostly because I quite like to know what the gammon wing of the Fanagista's/Reformists are burbling about now; I find his entire X output to be absolutely obnoxious & some of it is verging on the certifiable.
Any chance of a link to Mr Harman’s profanities, inanities or whatever best describes his outpourings ?
I believe he was the author of Close Quarters, a decent read including a quote from our very own @perfidious_albion, so it’s disappointing to hear that he seems to have gone off the rails.
3rd post down on his wall is a repost of Tommy Robinson (not his only appearance on his page) and the 5th starts with "the west is run by satanic paedophiles ...". Most posts are retweets of far right bot farming pages, in fact if didn't know he was real I would have suspected his profile was a far-right bot page itself.
Nut job racist scum bag
Nice. Close Quarters for the incinerator.
The erratic punctuation throughout Close Quarters should have been a red flag.
Won’t do that. But I doubt if he would pass the character test now.
He’s gone fully down the rabbit hole. Awful stuff.
Content seems somewhat at odds with the ethos of his great friend and fellow church-goer, Gareth Ainsworth.
I guess a deeply bitter journalist who’s never got over being sacked for plagiarism.
Surely Neil Harman is entitled to his opinion, even if many don't agree with it? I used to know someone who was a former soldier, he used to say, "I don't agree with your view but I will defend to the death your right to say it". TBF, I have read a majority of his posts and they appear to be retweets, though I guess they are a reflection of his views. Before an inevitable pile on, I am the first UK born of an Irish family and when my parents first came over they were refused entry to many a bedsit with the signage outside saying "No Irish".
There used to be a saying, the Irish were grateful for the blacks coming over as they took the heat off them, then the blacks were grateful for the Asians as they were the new pariahs. I wonder who the next wave of immigrants will be that take over from the Asians? 🤷♂️
No-one’s saying he can’t say it, but saying it makes him a prick.
Is that because he has an opposite view to you?🤷♂️
Yes, if by opposite you mean that I don’t agree with Vladimir Putin when he said that the west is run by Satanic paedophiles.
(I’m pretty sure Putin wouldn’t even have said this, so it’s not just utter bollocks, it’s fake news as well)
We really need a ten year moratorium on the phrase ‘fake news.’
This line seems to be very popular to shut down any criticism at the moment however valid. It goes nicely with "you can't cause offence - you can only take offence" which is also largely BS.
It's a lovely cop out at times for people who being pricks deliberately and are more than aware that they are doing so.
In essence I agree with you, what I don't agree with is the right to be abusive to those who have a different/opposite view. That is where the debate is lost.
Absolutely no-one is stopping or silencing Neil Harman’s opinions.
Equally, no-one is being stopped from agreeing or disagreeing with them.
He’s putting them out there (mainly by recycling the work of others - so no change there) and people are reacting as they see fit.
For me personally, they’re pretty grim and somewhat at odds with his oft-proclaimed Christian faith.
