Mr Rice seems to be a very level headed man with his focus being on sustainability. He knows that results on the pitch will drive up fan engagement and I suspect Matt B will be under pressure to deliver in a way he hasn’t been before in his short management career.
Sounds like serious investment is taking place at the training ground and the location may prove to be much more beneficial than Bearwood would have been.
I get the feeling that if Matt buys into the plan and works on the big picture he will be fine. Strange though it seems the first team hitting the heights will be part of the success not the only success going forward.
What I mean is that we have only one team and one success metric. Having a Cat 1 academy (just typing that blows my mind) gives a broader metric for our club’s success. Dan said he’s not said to the first team to back off and has said if the chance is there (for promotion) then go for it but it’s a building process. And as others have said Matt and Dan are like peas in a data pod.
I'd guess that this season Bloomfield will be fine if he avoids the relegation zone and has some kind of cup run. Future seasons will have expectations of promotion but I think this one is mostly about setting things up.

Thank you @AlanCecil .

A real good update indeed.
Appreciate this Alan, thank you.
England: U17, U18, U19, U20, U2; moved to Southampton is the Trust verbatim.
Dan Rice, a man of many achievements, lucky to have him
Doesn't get enough credit for their later work.

It would not surprise me at all if Dan Rice and Blooms get along famously, as Blooms is a data-driven analytical coach.
Why is that strange?
They seem very much cut from the same cloth don’t they?

Data gets grouped in sets, rather than pods @TheAndyGrahamFanClub.

I doubt the new owners would tolerate 18 games without a win mind you.
As long as we don't start booing him he'll be ok. Kaspi was built on the key idea of customer satisfaction.

I'd disagree here, if we're in the bottom 8 at Christmas I would be surprised if "the data" didn't push Blooms out.
I'm confident that won't be the case though
Badgers in a data set.
I used to enjoy Badger’s contributions to the old Gasroom. Who did he become...?
