He may have had a nice golden handshake although probably just as likely that ML simply covered some outstanding debt, Think we probably will see some kind of thank you on the pitch in the future.
Outspoken, very American but a great custodian of the club. Unless Lomtadze turns out to be a nightmare owner, future historians of WWFC will rightfully judge him very kindly.
I can agree with DrC’s sentiments but I can’t agree on the great custodianship from OxBlue without qualifying that against some major letdowns on infrastructure, his disregard for the Trust and for ending his tenure with a worse balance sheet than before. He still has my sincere thanks for saving the club at a time where we were once again near the brink though and I feel that the club has developed in some areas as a consequence of his and Pete’s tenure. Hopefully he has handed on to someone decent, only time will tell.
I liked the guy. He came in the March when covid hit and I believe if he had not been here nor would our football club so Thank You Rob. Wish you well. Regards John
Rob’s interview was exactly what one expected. I cannot see the dismissive comments mentioned by others. Sure, Rob didn’t finish all the proposed improvements but many of those, such as the road and proposals to move the pitch and rebuild stands have been progressed. I believe the road is the key to everything. I heard towards the end of the season that a crunch meeting was planned with key councillors, but haven’t heard anything since.
I will remember the Couhig years with many warm memories and gratitude to the family. I cannot imagine many owners wandering through the ‘fanzone before games, ready to engage and have a beer with fans.
One of the latest rumours on Hob nob. Rob Couhig is part of a consortium in talks to take over Reading FC. If it is true I wonder how that will go down with the idiots who abused him over the Bearwood incident. 😀 My view is that Rob Couhig was used Dai Yongge as a "patsy" to try to hurry along the talks, Didn't work though, if it was. What would you, Wycombe fans think of it if he took over us?
I think that the way a number, and I would say there were a significant number on twitter, treated him and his family over the Bearwood Training ground thing - that you don’t deserve him.
I can put some of it down to just not trusting owners - it’s understandable to have trust issues - but it stepped over the line many times.
It would be surprising if Couhig is part of the consortium. He has made a big thing about his age and the lengthy commute from Louisiana. Not sure Reading is much closer than High Wycombe!!
Depends what role he is playing. If a relatively small "non -exec" advisory role, not hard to see what he might add to the consortium given his experience. Hard to see him playing a leading role though.

Shame we didn’t get to give him a nice send off. Thanks for saving us Rob.

Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, Rob!!!
This is a traditional American way of saying farewell, I believe.

His exit interview has a slight air of thank f*€k that millstone is off from round my neck.

How did you actual get to view it? On the club website the link, in the news article, to Rob & Phil's interview doesn't work for me.
Not nice.

Worked on my iPhone
@bluntphil On Wanderers TV if you click the Rob exit interview you get GMac’s one instead.
Hi @Lloyd2084 I’ve just checked on my phone and the interview with Rob works on this link here: https://www.wwfc.com/news/2024/june/07/rob-couhig-steps-down-dan-rice-appointed-interim-chairman/
Thanks @bluntphil I was going through the app and clicking on the video link on the article.
Thanks, I too was getting the wrong link.

Thank you Phil. The words I will remember from Rob’s final interview were;- Have fun and concentrate on what is going well.
Well said Rob and we will miss you.
Great five years. Thanks Couhigs.
Thanks Rob, Pete and Missey
It's been corrected now, thx

Get used to day time fireworks and expensive food
We.ve already got the expensive food!

I suppose Reading is a bit closer to the USA than Wycombe, so he's reduced the long travel time that he told us was the main reason for leaving.

According to James Earnshaw on Twitter, he is Not part of the consortium, instead going it alone
If RC buys Reading he is wealthier than I thought, potentially.
Yeah if he buys Reading solo I’d be baffled as there was no indication when he owned us that he was that wealthy
He sold Wycombe for just over £30 million and is using the cash to buy Reading, obviously.
