This Birmingham relegation is my favourite relegation since Posh stunk out the Championship. The club’s owners deserve it for the failed Rooney project.
My word, that was about as nailed on an obvious pen as you'll ever see. And absolutely preposterous for a ref who thought the first one was a pen, to not immediately give it.
So if Vokes was clear in the penalty area and a defender came in from behind like that, you would be quite happy for the referee to not give us a penalty. You can't tackle from behind and make contact with the player and get away with it, particularly when there is no effort to get the ball.
Another happy result of Ipswich going up: Blooms now has very close contacts at another PL side. Would not shock me at all to see a loanee from them at some point.
A forgettable game between the two footballing purists. The PNL deserved to shade it and did well to resist Posh’s late pressure. I hope the former go through and get spanked by Bolton at Wembley.
I was just thinking, Jamie Vardy has now won the Championship title, won the PL title, been relegated and won the Championship title again all with the same club. Unheard of in the modern era.
Solihull are winning this (unfortunately, as I prefer the older, London based side over the MK Dons-aged club). Bromley have blown two leads and done everything but score in ET. This all points to a massive gut punch.
I know there are far fewer Solihull fans there, but seems strange to have solid the tickets on the side first - there were only fans in one of the very end blocks behind the goal.
Well done Bromley, they deserved that on chances made, twice hit the woodwork. Fond memories of trips to Bromley in the 70s on Jeffways coaches. One ex-Isthmian team replaces another.

Got to feel a bit sorry for Brackley. How many play offs have they lost in the last few years?
Soft penalty for Man City.
You wonder why Nottingham Forest feels aggrieved about some of the decisions not given for them.
Clear cut for me. Haaland had the ball about to shoot and the defender hit him from behind
About as soft as they come, in my view. If the test is supposed to be "was the contact enough to cause the reaction?".
Anyway that's not my point, which is that there's much less contact than by Young last week.
VAR was supposed to add consistency, when in fact it's just made it favour the bigger clubs.
Hang on, you were saying the 2nd pen was soft!?

What do you not understand about "As soft as the come"?
It's a soft penalty, minimal contact and Harland goes down easily.
Nottingham Forest were denied even a VAR review of much more robust challenges last week. THAT'S MY POINT.
I’d forgotten about Ian Culverhouse. Glad to he’s still in the game, even tho I feel sorry for Brackley.
Wonder if Birmingham fans are going to crowdfund a Rooney statue too. Seems to be the done thing once he’s fucked your club up
At least with Rooney there is no chance a bad statue of him could make him look any worse or lose any dignity.
Oxford 1-0 up in the game we want no one to win

Looking at it all wrong, consider the prize of this game as the opportunity to get hammered at Wembley and have your children crying on the telly.
Birmingham fan scores an absolute worldie during their pitch invasion https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6jkfQpIJ3H/?igsh=MWwxMGZzajFwdGI5dQ==

Hamza Choudhury was also at Leicester during the same time frame though did not play in the first Championship winning season
Ryan Reynolds has invested in Mexican club Necaxa, joining Eva Longoria, Kate Upton and, uh, Mesut Ozil.
Bromley v Solihull heading to extra time as things stand to gain a place in L2.

It's gone to pens
I want Solihull to win as they don't play on plastic
Wouldn't Bromley have to dig it up anyway and put grass in like Sutton did?
They would
Also, Bromley's manager made over 100 appearances for Oxford - another reason to support Solihull!
I know there are far fewer Solihull fans there, but seems strange to have solid the tickets on the side first - there were only fans in one of the very end blocks behind the goal.

Did anyone else notice the Bromley captain had an EFL armband? Meant to be, clearly.
I think Solihull are a merger of Solihull Boro and Moor Green rather than a new club. Pleased for Bromley anyway.
