10 Marathons in 10 Days
Hi all,
In just under 4 weeks time, I will be starting a journey from my home in South Manchester to London, running 9 marathons in 9 days through the East Midlands, before running a 10th at the London Marathon on April 21st. I was on last week's Ringing the Blues chatting to Phil about this, so hopefully one or two of you heard about it there.
I'm fundraising for Children with Cancer UK, who work to support children and families going through this awful disease, and fund research projects specifically aimed at fighting childhood cancers.
Any donations would be hugely appreciated, as I have a lofty fundraising target of £5000. If anyone has any questions, please do fire away - I love talking about this!

Thanks very much!

There is only one question - Why??
Great thing to do for a great cause. Hope it goes well
Brutal challenge that one, from someone who runs a bit.
Rest up and eat well in between!
Will you be camping in between or at least staying in a budget hotel etc?
Best of luck.
In a campervan for 7 nights, friend's house for one, and an Airbnb in Greenwich the night before London!
Mission accomplished!
Extraordinary achievement. I can hardly conceive running one, never mind ten kn ten days. Very, very many congratulations l!
26 steps would see me knackered! Well done sir.
I did this in 1989
Shortly before the name was changed to Snickers
And I would run one hundred (and thirty) miles
And I would run one hundred (and thirty) more
Just to be the bloke who dropped a fitness mic
Outside the Houses of Parliament's door
(last line needs work)
Well done mate. I run a bit and know with certainty how difficult one consecutive huge run is, let alone back to back ones!
Incredible.
Well done, what a fantastic achievement! Having done London Marathon in 2023 I know how much hard work and dedication it would have taken to do this 10 days in a row, let alone for just the one day.
So pleased for you and that you made it through all 10!
I would like to add my congratulations. I ran/jogged/walked/limped the London Marathon many years ago when dinosaurs roamed the earth and I’m still recovering! Fantastic effort to do ten of them in a row.
Just a little bump on this. Joseph is only £650 away from his £5000 target.

Can we help him get to the target.
Great effort @manchesterchairboy - good to hear of another NW based supporter - I’m based in Marple, Stockport - how about you?
thank you everyone for your kind words and donations - really very much appreciated!
@PJS I’m in Chorlton, south Manchester - I ran through Marple on day 1 of the challenge (and got told off for parking a campervan in the Asda there)
I should have paid more attention to your itinerary- would have been there in my Wycombe shirt! Could also have looked after your camper van! We are currently sat in ours in Ullapool waiting to go across to Stornaway in the morning - hope to catch JJs last game on WanderersTV.
